Come Home to Your Power

There comes a moment in healing when you realize no one else can do this part for you.

Someone can love you, encourage you, and see your potential. But they cannot give you the relationship with yourself that you have been longing for. That part is yours.

And maybe that sounds heavy, but I hope you can also hear the freedom in it. Because it means your life doesn't have to remain in the hands of the people whose approval you've been waiting for. You don't have to achieve enough to finally feel worthy. You don't have to make everyone happy. You don't have to keep abandoning yourself just to belong.

You can begin to turn inward. You can begin to listen to yourself again. You can begin releasing the beliefs, fears, and old stories that taught you that you needed permission to be who you are.

And little by little, you begin to meet the woman underneath all of it—the woman who has been waiting beneath the pleasing, the proving, and the performing. She doesn't need you to become someone new. She needs you to remember who you were before you learned that you had to earn your place in the world.

This is what coming home to your power feels like: not becoming louder, not becoming harder, and not proving anything, but becoming more fully yourself.

And perhaps this is the work that's calling you now. The question is not whether you're ready to become someone else. The question is: Are you ready to come home to yourself?

Your Solar Plexus Knows ✨

There is a place inside of you that already knows your power—not the kind of power you have to perform, not the kind you earn through achievement, and not the kind that disappears when someone disapproves of you.

I'm talking about the power that comes when you trust yourself.

Your solar plexus is often connected with your sense of confidence, self-esteem, identity, and personal power. But what I've learned after decades of sitting with women on their healing journeys is this: your power was never meant to come from other people filling you up.

You don't have to perform for approval. You don't have to prove your worth with every decision you make. You don't have to keep looking outside yourself for permission to take up space.

There may have been moments in your life when you learned to shrink—times when you were made to question yourself, or times when being fully yourself didn't feel safe. Those experiences can leave their imprint.

Healing isn't about pretending those wounds didn't happen, and it isn't about forcing yourself to be confident. It's about gently turning toward the parts of you that learned shame, the parts that learned to doubt, and the parts that learned to give your power away just to feel loved or accepted.

And then, slowly... lovingly... coming home to yourself.

Your worth was never dependent on someone else's opinion of you. Perhaps the most powerful thing you can begin to ask yourself is: What happens when I finally begin to trust me?

Because your approval matters. Your trust in yourself? That can change everything.

Trusting Your Gut This Week

Have you ever gotten a sudden feeling in the pit of your stomach before your brain even had a chance to figure out what was happening?

I used to do this all the time: my intuition would speak loud and clear, but I’d immediately try to talk my way out of it with "rational" thoughts. My mind would jump in to overthink, analyze, and overwrite what my body already knew.

It took me a while to actually build trust with my inner guidance, but learning to listen changed everything for me. Our navel and solar plexus area acts like a personal compass. The gut processes subtle physical signals far faster than our analytical mind ever could—it’s a somatic response that shows up way before conscious thought takes over.

Honestly, what I love most about my growth journey is that I’ve learned to stop talking myself out of my own knowing. It might not always make logical "sense" in the moment, but my gut is rarely wrong.

A Simple Exercise for Your Week:

If you want to start tuning back into your own internal compass, try this quick check-in:

Ask yourself simple yes-or-no questions throughout the day.
Skip the mental debate—just pause and notice how your body physically responds. Does your stomach tighten or soften? Do you feel expansive or constricted?
Your intuition is always right there waiting for you. This week, give yourself permission to drop out of your head and trust what your body is telling you.
When was the last time your gut proved to be completely right? Let me know in the comments!

The Approval Trap

How much of your life have you spent trying to earn approval from people who, if you're really honest with yourself, may never truly be able to give it?

Maybe you are confident in some parts of your life. You can walk into a meeting and know what you're doing. You take care of everyone else. You are capable, strong, and reliable.

But then there are those other places—the places where, underneath it all, you're still wondering:

Did I do enough?

Are they happy with me?

Did I say the wrong thing?

Am I enough?

So you work harder. You please. You manage. You explain. You prove—all while trying to hold yourself together on the outside.

But here's the thing: no matter how much you do, you will never be able to satisfy everyone. And somewhere deep inside, I think you already know that.

So why is it so hard to stop trying? Because somewhere along the way, you learned that your worth lived outside of you—in someone's approval, their love, their validation. You learned to look outside yourself for something that was meant to live within you.

This week, I have sat with women who are exhausted from carrying this pattern, and maybe you're one of them. If you recognize yourself here, don't judge yourself; just notice. Because awareness is often where healing begins. And once you can see the pattern, you can begin to choose something different.

Learning to accept love without needing to earn or repay it can feel strange when you're used to keeping the peace. You don't need to feel completely ready—just open to standing somewhere new.

Honoring Rest & The Power of Softness

Earlier this week, we talked about calling back our power, muting the outside noise, and saying yes to the things that light up our soul. Today, let’s keep that momentum going by pausing and looking back at the past few days.

Ask yourself: "What went great?"

For me, it was honoring my need for rest and staying present in feelings of joy. One day this week, I felt completely mentally drained and physically exhausted. In the past, I would have forced myself to push through. But this time, it felt so much easier to meet myself in a soft, compassionate space instead.

I forgive myself for all the times I pushed past my limits and didn't honor my soul’s need for rest. Giving myself permission to recharge and focus on what energizes my being brought a deep sense of freedom.

It is perfectly okay to have off days. It is not okay to ignore your being's needs.

🌿 Action Steps for Your Weekend:

1. Make Yourself a Priority: When was the last time you gave yourself dedicated time and effort to recharge in peace and joy?

2. Start Small: Self-care doesn't have to take up hours. Small gestures to yourself—a quiet cup of tea, 10 minutes without screens, or wearing something that makes you feel vibrant—make a massive difference.

3. Honor Your Boundaries: Protecting your energy pays dividends in the long run. Say no to what drains you so you can say yes to what heals you.

A Reflection for Today:

How can you meet yourself with softness instead of pressure today? 🤍
