Have unused or expired medications at home? National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, Oct. 24, and it’s a great reminder to clear out your medicine cabinet and help keep your family safe.

We offer a prescription medication return box located outside The Café at Twelve Hundred, located near the self-serve coffee machine, at our main campus in Richmond. The return box provides a free, anonymous way to dispose of prescription medications you no longer need.

Proper medication disposal helps prevent accidental poisonings, reduces the risk of medication misuse, and keeps pharmaceuticals out of our water supply.

Help protect your household and the environment by safely disposing of medications you no longer need.

Dr. Annuradha Bhandari joined Rick Duncan on G101-3's "Healthy Conversations" this morning to discuss diabetes, warning signs, and prevention.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates more than 100 million U.S. adults have prediabetes, and most don't know it, Dr. Bhandari said.

Prediabetes means your blood sugar is higher than normal but not high enough for a diabetes diagnosis. It’s an opportunity to act and help prevent or delay Type 2 diabetes.

Prediabetes often has no noticeable symptoms, while Type 2 diabetes can cause increased thirst, fatigue, frequent urination, blurred vision, and slow-healing wounds. Regular checkups and blood work can help identify prediabetes early.

Lifestyle changes, including healthy eating, regular physical activity, and weight management, can help prevent or delay Type 2 diabetes.

Medication might also help when appropriate. Your primary care provider can help you set realistic goals, develop a plan, and find support to make lasting changes for your health and well-being.

Learn more during National Diabetes Month this November at Medical Monday at 1 p.m. on Nov. 9, at Central United Methodist Church, 1425 E. Main St., Richmond.

Join presenter Dr. Erica Kretchman for a fun, interactive game of Diabetes Family Feud. Get answers to diabetes-related questions while learning more about the condition. Supported by Reid Health Community Engagement.

Starting this month, you need to take steps to meet Indiana’s new work requirements for HIP (the Healthy Indiana Plan) to keep your coverage in 2027.

HIP members must log in to the state’s Benefits Portal each month to document your hours.

This video from Indiana’s Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) explains how to report your hours each month – starting here in October – so you don’t lose your insurance next year.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
