As I reflect on this year, I'm thankful for the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of veterans. I received these awards from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and a special shout out from the Executive Director during a work town hall meeting thanking me for providing "world class five-star services to veterans". To God be the glory!

Our Shemayah turned 11 today! With the extended snowdays, she's having a great birthday. We're grateful to God for such a sweet daughter and looking forward to making more fun memories this year. We love you Shemy!

Our 10-year-old Shemayah won 1st place in her 6th grade class spelling bee!!! Today, she competed in the schoolwide spelling bee among 7th and 8th graders and won 3rd place. So proud of her considering this is her first spelling bee and how young she is in comparison to her peers!👏🏾🎉

We recently had the pleasure of attending a gala about unwavering faith and family values. We were inspired by the stories of others with fearless faith and met Bethany Hamilton who is best known for the Hollywood movie Soul Surfer based on her story of surviving a shark attack. She is also an advocate for women's sports. We planned to only attend the gala and dinner but the Lord had other plans as someone invited us and paid for our tickets to attend a VIP event as they were inspired by my testimony. It was great to meet so many amazing people. When you're fulfilling God's purpose in your life, the blessings will chase you! Matthew 6:33

We had a time last night at the Comcast RISE Day for all Richmond winners of the grant! We heard from a panel of experts on successful entrepreneurship and resources in the community. The gift bag was fun. It was a great networking opportunity to meet other professionals in the area.
