A big thank you to Texas Party Animals for visiting our community this weekend! Lefty the alpaca quickly became everyone's favorite "nurse," bringing smiles, laughter, and plenty of joy to our residents.
Fun Alpaca Trivia: Alpacas communicate by humming! These gentle sounds can express curiosity, comfort, or contentment, making them one of the sweetest and most expressive animals around.

We celebrated National Elvis Month with a special performance from The King himself! The smiles were undeniable as residents sang along, danced, and enjoyed an afternoon filled with music, memories, and rock 'n' roll fun. Thank you to our Elvis impersonator for making the day so memorable! 💙

We were honored to welcome our new Pre-K friends from Children’s Lighthouse on Senior Citizen Day! 💙 This special partnership brings the children to visit us monthly through graduation, creating meaningful intergenerational activities that allow our residents to watch them learn, grow, and thrive over the years. Fun fact: friendships between older adults and children often lead to more laughter, creativity, and meaningful conversations for everyone involved! We can't wait for all the memories we'll make together!

🍋 National Lemonade Day was a sweet success in Connections! We skipped the shortcuts and made lemonade from scratch by rolling, cutting, squeezing, and thoroughly smelling fresh lemons.

Fun Fact: Smell is one of the strongest senses connected to memory because scent signals travel directly to areas of the brain involved in emotion and memory. That's why the smell of fresh lemons can instantly bring back special moments from years ago!

Sometimes the best part isn't the lemonade itself, but the memories stirred up along the way. 💛🍋

🎈🏐 Our balloon volleyball activities are always filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of movement! Residents enjoy keeping the balloon in the circle while moving to upbeat music, encouraging coordination, flexibility, and cross-body movements in a fun and engaging way.

The best part is that everyone can participate at their own pace while enjoying the energy of the group and the rhythm of the music.
