This is called ACRT or Anagram, Copy, Recall Treatment! It’s to improve spelling and writing after a brain injury.

Patient has progressive aphasia and being able to vote is important to them. I DID NOT help them fill out the actual ballot. I created structured tasks, modified as we went along based on needs and used simple visual aids. This person was losing the ability to write their first/last name, signature, address, etc. The ability was not completely gone yet, however. So, by setting this person up to be able to practice writing their basic information before filling out the ballot FOR REAL, they were able to complete the ballot successfully on their own. That’s speech therapy! That’s what it can look like.
