YOU DID IT!

Governor Beshear announced that budget surplus funds will be used to reverse the planned 4% reduction to Medicaid reimbursement rates. This means the proposed 4% cuts to Kentucky's Medicaid waiver services WILL NOT move forward this year. This is a tremendous victory for individuals, families, and providers!

This happened because of you!! Your advocacy made a difference.

Over the past several weeks, you answered every call to action. You contacted the Governor's Office, shared your stories, spoke with legislators, engaged on social media, and made it clear that these cuts would have had devastating consequences for the Kentuckians who rely on waiver services every day and the providers who support them.

We've heard some confusion, so we want to provide an important update: As of today, the 4% reimbursement rate cuts to 1915(c) Medicaid Waivers HAVE NOT BEEN REVERSED.

While the Governor recently reversed decisions to make cuts to programs administered through the Department for Behavioral Health, those decisions do not apply to the 4% Medicaid Waiver reimbursement rate cuts. The Waiver rate cuts fall under the Department for Medicaid Services and remain scheduled to take effect on 8/1.

Our work is far from over. These cuts would have serious consequences for our Waivers and the Kentuckians with significant disabilities who rely on them.

Now is the time to speak up! Contact Governor Beshear and urge him to reverse the 4% Medicaid Waiver reimbursement cuts before they take effect.

A 4% Medicaid waiver cut takes effect August 1, 2026. That's when our reimbursement rates drop—immediately impacting staffing, services, and the people who depend on us. It's time to make some noise!

We have 30 days to stop this. The Governor, Attorney General, and our legislators CAN reverse these cuts—but they need to hear from us RIGHT NOW.

The Special Olympics Kentucky State Summer Games are returning to EKU June 5–7, bringing nearly 1,200 athletes to Richmond to compete in bocce, rhythmic gymnastics, soccer, and track and field.

Come find Aspire Mentoring Foundation and Abilities Unlimited of KY on Saturday, June 6 — we'll have a booth with information, games, and goodies. We'd love to meet you and celebrate these amazing athletes together!

Delion Care Services is excited to celebrate Night to Shine, an unforgettable prom-night experience centered on God’s love for people with special needs ages 14 and older, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation and hosted by Eastside Community Church in Richmond, Kentucky.

This special evening includes a red-carpet welcome, music, dancing, and a crowning ceremony where every honored guest is celebrated as a king or queen of the prom.

URGENT: New bills in Congress would make it harder for people with disabilities to vote by mail, receive voting assistance, and even register to vote.

There is no evidence these barriers are needed; there IS clear evidence they would block eligible voters.

Accessible voting is a civil rights issue.
Congress must reject these bills.
