Last Tuesday, Step Above had the pleasure of participating in the Richmond Reentry Community Resource Fair at Liberation Church!

We were grateful for the opportunity to connect with community members, fellow organizations, and resource providers while sharing information about the services and support available through Step Above.

Events like this are an important reminder of what can happen when organizations come together with a shared goal: helping individuals access the resources, treatment, support, and opportunities they need to move forward. 🤝

A huge thank you to the organizers, Liberation Church, and everyone who stopped by our table to learn more about Step Above! We look forward to continuing to build meaningful partnerships and finding new ways to better serve Richmond and our surrounding communities.

Are you passionate about helping others build independence, reach their goals, and move forward in their recovery journey?

Step Above is looking for compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our residential support team!

As a Residential Support Specialist, you’ll have the opportunity to provide daily support, encouragement, and empowerment while helping create a safe and respectful environment for the individuals we serve.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification
• Current 32-Hour Medication Assistance Certification
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Behavioral health, substance use treatment, counseling, peer support, or residential experience is a plus!

Our facilitators lead therapeutic groups within our ASAM 2.1 IOP and ASAM 2.5 PHP programs, helping clients build skills, strengthen accountability, and make meaningful progress.

CSAC Certification preferred
CPR / First Aid preferred
Behavioral health, substance use treatment, counseling, peer support, or group facilitation experience is a plus
