VDDHH will be hosting a ‘town hall’ meeting with Department of Elections, disAbility Law Center of Virginia, and Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired.
Each agency will briefly talk about the assistance & accommodations provided to make elections accessible to people who are deaf & hard of hearing, deafblind as well as people who are blind and vision impaired. But more importantly, we want to hear about your past experiences with barriers when voting. We also want to hear your feedback on what need to be improved for a more accessible voting experience.

We will meet virtually this Saturday (March 14) at 10:30 a.m. via ZOOM. Our program will be a viewing of the acclaimed documentary, “WE HEAR YOU” (45 minutes) - featuring the hearing loss journeys of four women. Afterwards, we’ll share our own hearing loss stories.

VETERANS PROJECT
Access Virginia Hearing Loss Association of America, Virginia Beach Chapter have partnered to offer Veterans with hearing or vision loss complimentary tickets to a select number of shows. Each Veteran with a sensory loss is entitled to two tickets. Registration is required.
