🌡️ With temperatures in the 90s this week, we wanted to share a few reminders to help keep your pets safe.

🐾 Walk dogs early in the morning or later in the evening.
💧 Make sure they always have access to fresh, cool water.
🌳 Provide plenty of shade if they’re spending time outdoors.
🔥 Remember that pavement gets much hotter than the air and can burn paw pads.
🚗 Never leave your pet in a parked car, even for a few minutes.

⚠️ Signs of heatstroke include:
• Heavy panting
• Excessive drooling
• Bright red gums
• Weakness or lethargy
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Stumbling or collapsing

🏥 If you think your pet is overheating, move them to a cool area, offer cool (not ice-cold) water, and contact us right away. Heatstroke can become serious very quickly.

Stay cool and give your pets a little extra attention during these hot summer days! ☀️🐶🐱
