LaTasha has been an integral part of StarCity’s growth and development, bringing more than 𝟭𝟱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵, 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 to our organization. Her experience spans multiple levels of care, including ASAM 3.1, PHP, and IOP, and throughout her career she has remained committed to ethical practice, quality care, and strong clinical leadership.

LaTasha holds a 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿’𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 and is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work, with anticipated graduation in Spring 2027. She is also a 𝗖𝗦𝗔𝗖, 𝗤𝗠𝗛𝗣, 𝗣𝗥𝗦 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗦𝗔𝗖 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿.

In her new role as 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿, LaTasha will help ensure that StarCity continues to meet the highest standards of quality, ethics, regulatory compliance, client rights, and accountability. She will provide organization-wide leadership around compliance and quality assurance while helping ensure our policies, practices, documentation, and services remain aligned with the regulatory standards governing behavioral health care.

What makes LaTasha especially well suited for this role is that she understands compliance from both sides: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲. Her leadership has always reflected a commitment to dignity, integrity, empathy, and doing things the right way—even when the right way isn’t the easiest way.
As StarCity continues to grow, strong compliance leadership is essential to making sure we grow 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝘆, 𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

Leadership Retreat 2026 🌊🎯

Last week, our leadership team stepped away from the day-to-day work to focus on something just as important: where we’re going next.
Our strategic planning retreat centered around three pillars that will guide StarCity Behavioral Health and Starfish Recovery & Wellness over the next 15 months:

📈 Continuing to improve our systems, strengthen training and coaching, clarify roles and accountability, and invest in the people who make this work possible.

🌱 Expanding our ability to serve more people and more communities, including the continued development of services and housing in Fredericksburg and Petersburg.

🏠 Building long-term stability by taking a strategic look at where we operate and where our clients live.

We’ve grown tremendously over the past several years, but growth alone isn’t the goal. The goal is to build organizations that are stronger, more professional, more sustainable, and better equipped to serve people for years to come.

Over the next 15 months, these three pillars will shape our decisions, our investments, and our priorities.

And after the planning was finished, we made time for what makes these retreats just as important — reconnecting as a team, having some fun, and remembering that strong organizations are built by strong relationships. ❤️
