Dr Denise Anderson brought the purpose to the party! She spoke very eloquently about spinal cord injury and the variations and degrees that it comes in.

She gave her lived experience which was very touching and enlightened us for a better understanding.

A research on spinal cord injury and mental health is very relevant to those whose lives SCI has touched.
She encouraged family and friends to understand what happens when a person suddenly becomes disabled.

This was especially moving since she received news of her father's passing just that morning. She said her father would have wanted her to complete the mission.

Thank you for bringing your relevant research to the 2nd annual Movement and Mental Health Symposium Dr. Anderson. Our prayers and thoughts are with you as you lay your father to rest.
