🎬❤️ A MOVIE, A HERO, AND FRIENDSHIPS THAT FILL MY HEART ❤️🎬

We went to the movies to see the newly released HEART OF THE BEAST, and let me tell you… the ending brought tears to all five of us! 🥹

The story of the veteran and his beautiful veteran German Shepherd, Odie, touched our hearts in such a special way. Odie is a reminder of the unconditional love, unwavering loyalty, and incredible bond we share with our animals. 🐾❤️

Our animals are FAMILY. They love us without judgment, stand beside us through life’s hardest moments, and give us a kind of love that words can never fully describe. They deserve the utmost love, kindness, and respect. 🐶🐾

It fills my heart to spend these special moments with some of my family members at the State Veterans Community Living Center at R***e. ❤️

These moments are so much more than a trip to the movies. They are laughter, friendship, shared tears, beautiful memories, and reminders of how blessed we are to have one another.

Our veterans have given so much, and being able to share these experiences, build friendships, and create memories with them is truly one of life’s greatest blessings.

Family isn’t always defined by blood. Sometimes, it’s the friendships we build, the love we share, and the people who become part of our hearts along the way.

My heart is full. Our friendships are blessings, and these are the moments I will always treasure. ❤️🇺🇸

Today, we had the honor of welcoming Kincaid Perdue to our Resident Council meeting!

For his senior project, Kincaid chose to focus on something very special — honoring and giving back to our veterans! 🇺🇸

Kincaid organized an American History Trivia Night at the Elks Lodge, raising an incredible $1,051! Today, he personally presented that donation to our veterans during their Resident Council meeting.

What an extraordinary young man! His kindness, generosity, initiative, and respect for those who have served our country truly speak volumes about his character.

Here at the Colorado State Veterans Community Living Center in R***e, we are blessed to be surrounded by incredible veterans whose stories, sacrifices, and service remind us every day what true patriotism looks like.

Today we celebrated two very special Veterans, Chris and Mark, with a birthday pizza lunch purchased by Chris Carlson for staff and residents! 🎉🍕🇺🇸

Today, we have the incredible honor of celebrating a very special milestone: 101 years of life, memories, service and stories with Ed, one of our very own Navy veterans here at the R***e VCLC.

Reaching 101 years is more than simply celebrating another birthday. It is celebrating a lifetime filled with experiences that span generations, a lifetime of moments that have shaped our history, and a lifetime of memories that deserve to be treasured and shared.

As a Navy veteran, he proudly answered the call to serve our country, becoming part of something greater than himself. His service represents a chapter of dedication, sacrifice and patriotism that we are honored to recognize and remember.

But beyond his military service, we celebrate the man he is — the life he has lived, the people he has loved, the lessons he has learned and the countless memories he has created along the way. Over 101 years, he has witnessed an extraordinary amount of change in our world, yet his story remains a meaningful part of the history we are privileged to have living among us.

Here at the R***e VCLC, we believe our veterans are not simply residents — they are our history, our heroes and an important part of our community family. The Colorado State Veterans Community Living Center at R***e is looking for a dependable, caring team member to join our Dietary/Dining Services team!

As a Dietary Aide, you’ll play an important role in providing nutritious meals and a welcoming dining experience for the Veterans who call our community home. Duties include serving meals, assisting with food preparation, setting up and cleaning dining areas, washing dishes, stocking supplies, and maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen.

❤️ If you enjoy working with people, being part of a team, and doing work that has a direct impact on the lives of others, we’d love to have you join us!

Minimum qualification: 6 months of experience in ​food service.

📍 Location: R***e, Colorado
💰 Pay: $20.12/hour

Our next CNA training class is starting soon!

This is a State of Colorado employment opportunity with the Veterans Community Living Center at R***e. The individuals selected will be hired as State employees and will receive a combination of classroom CNA education and hands-on, on-the-job training to prepare them for a career caring for our Veterans.
You do not have to already be a CNA to apply for this opportunity. We are looking for individuals who are interested in learning, providing meaningful care to our residents, and becoming part of our team.
