Starr County Nursing and Transitional Care

We provide short and long-term skilled nursing care that helps older adults achieve true wellness. We are a non-profit, and that’s an important difference.

Our focus is on strengthening the families and communities we care for. Post-operative care, Wound Care, IV Therapy, and an in-house rehabilitation team are some services that make our facility different. Unlike others who contract their therapists, we have an in-house therapy team. This means our goal is to have patients and residents see the same occupational, speech, or physical therapists daily, which builds a strong line of trust and rapport.

We had so much fun during our special, summertime event—featuring sweet treats and a themed photo booth! 🏖️

A huge thank you to Legacy Home Health Agency Inc. for joining us and for providing all of our refreshing popsicle treats! We'd also like to shout-out our Activity Department for planning this summertime bash, and for making our delicious, beverage floats! This was another wonderful afternoon, filled with smiles and great company. 🍧😋✨️

We closed out the month of July with a sweet celebration for National Watermelon Month! 🍉✨️

Team members enjoyed refreshing, fresh watermelon—some even dressed up their watermelon slices with a variety of fun and delicious toppings! It was the perfect way to celebrate summer—filled with laughter and creativity.
