✨ Throwback Thursday ✨
Yesterday, while visiting my grandma, I found this newspaper clipping from 1992.
At just 2 years old, I helped call 911 after my grandma fainted while she was babysitting my brother and me. My brother dialed 911, and I stayed on the phone with the dispatcher until help arrived. The article even mentions that I remained calm the entire time.
Reading this over 30 years later made me smile.
Maybe helping people wasn’t something I discovered, it was something that had always been part of who I am.
That little girl grew up to become a paramedic, then an ER nurse, and now an aesthetic nurse… and before long, a family nurse practitioner. ❤️
Although my career has evolved, my purpose hasn’t.
Whether I was responding to emergencies, caring for patients in the ER, or helping someone feel more confident in my aesthetics practice, my goal has always been the same: to help people feel safe, cared for, and supported.
One thing I hear often from my patients is, “You make me feel so comfortable.” I think that’s because the foundation of everything I do has never been about injections or procedures, it’s about caring for people.
Finding this article was such a sweet reminder that sometimes life gives us little glimpses of the person we’re meant to become.
I guess 2-year-old me found her calling a lot earlier than she realized. 🤍
