Trauma Treatment Center

Trauma Treatment Center We are a foundation of understanding mental health and therapy services. We are here to help. TTC highly values maintaining a vested interest in our employees.

We offer EMDR, OT, Yoga therapy, sand tray therapy, play therapy, infant mental health & support for families in crisis. Trauma Treatment Center & Research Facility was designed with the current needs of all ages of individuals facing difficult situations in mind. We provide services that address trauma through multiple avenues: behavioral health treatments, biophysical therapies, group therapies

and classes, and core community support services. By addressing individuals needs from multiple perspectives we can enhance the positive outcome for clients. As we grow in Rio Rancho we will also focus on supporting the community outside of our agency walls and plan to participate in community activities and support the needs of our clients in their community based environments. TTC also looks forward to giving back to the city of Rio Rancho as a sponsor for different programs as TTC continues to grow. Supporting their growth professionally and personally is how TTC promotes a healthy working environment that in turn supports Client growth within our facility. As an agency the promotion of self-care is vital to TTC’s philosophy.

Trauma-informed care extends beyond the therapy room. We provide specialized training for educators, healthcare professionals, law enforcement, emergency services, and community leaders who regularly interact with people affected by trauma. By helping more people recognize trauma and respond with empathy, we can build safer and more supportive communities together.

Parenting can feel a little easier when we better understand what is happening inside a child’s developing brain. The Whole-Brain Child is a 7-week series that gives parents practical tools to strengthen connection, support emotional development, and respond to challenging moments with greater understanding.

WHY. It’s something many of us as therapists and clinicians think about at different points in our careers, especially on the hard days. Sometimes it helps to reconnect with what drew us to this work in the first place and the moments that have made it meaningful along the way. What helps you remember your “why” when you need it most?

Healing does not happen only through words. Our trauma-sensitive yoga group uses gentle movement, mindful breathing, and body awareness to help participants reconnect with themselves in a safe and supportive environment. Over time, these practices can support emotional regulation, resilience, stress management, and greater trust in the body.

Better care starts with understanding what works. Mental health research helps us stay current, evaluate treatment approaches, and provide care grounded in evidence—not assumptions. At TTC, continued learning is part of how we support each client with thoughtful, effective, and compassionate care.

Everyday activities can become difficult following trauma, illness, injury, developmental delays, or other health challenges. Occupational therapy helps individuals develop the skills needed to participate more fully in daily life - from learning, play, and self-care to relationships, social activities, and work. The goal is meaningful progress in the routines that matter most.
