Virginia B. Reignier

Virginia “Virgie” “Ginny” Reignier, age 85, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026. She was born on November 8, 1940, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to Stanley and Margaret (Wyngaard) (Kusiak) Holda.

On September 26, 1959, Virginia married Jerry Joseph Reignier. Together they raised one son, Roy Reignier, and later welcomed two foster sons, Jon and Greg Groh, along with many other foster children into their home.

Virginia was one of those people who genuinely loved the simple, good things in life. She was happiest camping, playing cards, or just being with friends and family. And her dogs — they were her heart. Anyone who knew her could see how much joy they brought her.

And when it came to the Packers, she was all in. She proudly wore her green and gold for every game and never missed a chance to cheer them on. Her loyalty ran deep, season after season.

Virginia spent the last five years of her life at Prairie Place, a transition that was not always easy, yet she met it with quiet strength. She took part in every activity offered, showing up with the same determination and grace that carried her through life. She especially loved getting her hair done, a small ritual that brought her lovely curls and connection. Though the days could be challenging, she welcomed every visitor warmly, and her regular Alexa video visits with her sister, Terry, brought comfort, laughter, and joy across the miles.

Virginia received compassionate care from the dedicated teams at Prairie Place, Generations Hospice, Lakeland Care, and Brightstar. Her family is profoundly grateful for the tenderness and dignity they provided.

Virginia will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, and the countless lives she touched simply by being herself.

She is survived by her son, Roy Reignier; foster sons, Greg and Jon Groh; sisters, Terry (Eugene) Goessl of Sturgeon Bay, WI, and Gertie Wichlacz of Casa Grande, AZ; sisters‑in‑law, Sharon Holda of Green Bay and Clara Kusiak of Denmark; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Margaret Holda; her husband, Jerry Reignier; her brothers, Wally, Jim, Chester, and Eddie Kusiak, and Bob Holda Sr.; and her sisters, Elsie Cywinski and Esther Olson.

A graveside service and inurnment for Virginia will take place at Fort Howard Memorial Park in Green Bay, Wisconsin, at a later date.

Carol V. Lukoski

Carol Lukoski, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh, WI, in her adorable, cozy little room with her family by her side.

Carol was born on September 7, 1933 in Ripon, WI, the youngest daughter of three children to the late Bernard and Esmer Voysey. She had a wonderful childhood and often reminisced about living above the “tin shop” that her Dad owned and operated. Her brother, Bob, liked to tease her a lot, but he also fondly referred to her as “Ducky” which she loved. Her and her sister, Jeanne did a lot together; they shared friends, enjoyed dancing, and singing.

Carol married her high school sweetheart, Bob Lukoski on November 28, 1953, and were married for 63 years. Carol’s career was mostly spent as a dispatcher for the Ripon Police Department. She liked the challenge and uncertainty that came with her job. She worked full-time, yet managed to also raise a happy family with Bob. She retired after 25 years.

Her true passion was crafting, especially quilting. It brought her joy to shop for fabric, cut the fabric, and sew the fabric. She spent countless hours creating beautiful quilts and had a flare for using gorgeous color combinations. Carol loved her quilts so much she had a hard time parting with them. She created numerous Quilts of Valor and was truly moved giving them to veterans who are so well deserving of them.

Survivors include her oldest son, Dave (Sherry) Lukoski of Ripon, WI and their children, Ben (Dr. Ellen Beebe) Lukoski of Madison, WI and Kayla (Nate) Hendry of Eau Claire, WI; Tim Lukoski of Arlington Heights, IL and his children, Brenna Lukoski of Goffstown, NH, Garrett Lukoski of Chicago, IL, and Kathlin Lukoski of Arlington Heights, IL; Todd Lukoski of Clintonville, WI and his children, Luke Lukoski of Onalaska, WI, and Laura (Justin) Reed of DeForest, WI; and Annie (Ron) Fenner of Ripon, WI, and their children, Austin (Lexi) Fenner of Ripon, WI, Hayden (Casey) Fenner of Neenah, WI, and Landon (Rylee) Fenner of Austin, TX. Carol is also survived by her five great-grandchildren: Adalee, Tripp, and Andie Fenner of Ripon, WI, and Rhett and Willa Hendry of Eau Claire, WI. She was so excited to have her sixth great-grandchild later this summer. Carol is further survived by other family members and dear friends who will sadly miss her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Lukoski; her sister, Jeanne Savignac and brother-in-law, Thomas Savignac; her brother, Bob Voysey and sister-in-law, Violet Voysey; in-laws, George and Vera Lukoski; and daughter-in-law, Karen Lukoski.

Carol’s family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff at Evergreen that were so kind and showed her true love and compassion. We would also like to thank Compassus Hospice. We also appreciate all the support and frequent visits from family and friends.

It would be Carol’s wish for anyone who knew her to never pass up a shopping opportunity, eat candy while you can, and watch or attend a Brewer game. Carol was asked hours before she passed what the three most important things in life were, and her response was simply “family, family, family!”

Carol and Bob loved Winnie the Pooh quotes and their family feels this one suits them best, “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” (A.A. Milne)

Carol’s family will hold a private gathering after cremation. Her and Bob will be laid to rest together after the gathering at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Ripon.

Annette Carol Clark

Annette Clark, age 86, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, in her home in Collierville, TN. She was the only child of Grace and Julius Kotloski of Green Lake, WI and the loving wife, for 62 years, to Jay Clark, who preceded her in death. She leaves behind her three adult children, Gregory (Kathleen), Clarissa (Avery), and Julia (Kyle). Annette was the cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren, Carolyn Clark, Lauren Clark, Anna (Eric) Dunn, Charlsie Mallory, Bryce Lyford, Robin Mallory, and Tristan Lyford; and a great-grandson, James.

Annette spent her childhood in the idyllic small town of Green Lake, where she lived on Walker Ave. Her high school years were spent having adventures with her girlfriends, working summer jobs, and writing letters almost daily to Jay. After high school, she attended St. Agnes Nursing School, in Fond du Lac, WI, where she completed the 3 year training program and earned her RN license. In August 1961, she married her longtime high school sweetheart, Jay, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, in Green Lake, WI. They soon moved to Florida where Jay was stationed in the US Navy. During the early part of their marriage, she enjoyed her work as a nurse before devoting herself full-time to raising a family during Jay’s long sea duty assignments.

Life as a military spouse meant moving six times over the course of her marriage with Jay. Each time she managed it with grace. Finally, in 1986, they found their own little piece of heaven on four acres in Collierville, TN. Together, they created a welcoming home that was perfect for family gatherings and relaxation. With the arrival of grandkids, Thanksgiving time became especially dear to her and a beloved Clark family tradition. Throughout the years, Annette always took a keen and supportive interest in anything her kids or grandkids were doing. She continues to be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to have known her.

A Memorial Mass is scheduled to take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 530 Ruth Street, Green Lake, WI 54941. She will be laid to rest after Mass at Dartford Cemetery, 431 North Street, Green Lake, WI 54941.

Richard J. Zellmer

Captain Richard J. Zellmer, USN (Ret) was born on January 12, 1945, and passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at home in Ripon, WI, after a difficult journey with multiple myeloma. He was the son of Fred and Emma Zellmer of Tomah, WI, and the youngest of nine children. He married his senior prom date Janet Roscovius on October 22, 1966.

CAPT Zellmer spent his elementary school years in Wilton, WI. A week before his freshman year of high school, his family moved to Tomah, WI, where he joined the graduating class of 1963. He attended UW-Eau Claire, separating his first two years and his final two years with a six-year enlistment in the U.S. Navy. After completing his enlistment, he returned to complete his Bachelor of Arts in English and Broad Field Social Studies education. He later went on to complete his Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction at UW-Madison. Following graduation, he began his 27.5-year teaching career at Ripon High School, where he taught numerous literature and composition classes along with U.S. history and social studies subjects. He also coached boys’ basketball at RHS for 18 years.

After enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1966, CAPT Zellmer attended cryptologic training before serving on the USS Jamestown (AGTR-3) in support of American forces in Vietnam. After additional cryptologic maintenance training, he reported to NSGA Azores, followed by NSGA Homestead, FL. He left active duty as a Communications Technician – Maintenance First Class in 1971. CAPT Zellmer joined the Naval Reserve Security Group in 1974 and received his commission in 1977. His reserve assignments included command of units in Milwaukee, Oshkosh, and Madison, WI, Detroit, MI, Great Lakes, IL, and Commander, Reserve Cryptologic Area East – one of four Area Commanders for the Commander, Naval Reserve Security Group (NSRG) Command. CAPT Zellmer had tours with the National Security Agency, Naval War College, and Naval Technical Training Center in Corry Station, FL. After 9/11, he was mobilized as Deputy Commander, Naval Security Group Reserve Command with headquarters at Naval Air Station, Fort Worth, TX, before retiring in 2005. Among his personal medals are the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and numerous unit and campaign medals.

CAPT Zellmer served on the Ripon Police and Fire Commission and as President of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church and board member of the Ripon Education Foundation.

CAPT Zellmer lived his life with unselfish service to his faith, family, community, and his country. He said he never went to work; he merely went to school every day. Seeing former students and ball players and reminiscing about the old days brought him great joy. He was an avid Badger basketball fan and attended games for over 25 years with his bride. According to CAPT Zellmer, the answer to every question is chocolate. He always had a story to share and a bad joke. His persistently positive attitude was essential throughout his 12-year journey with cancer. The impact he made on hundreds of people in his teaching, coaching, and military careers will remain forever.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Janet (Roscovius) Zellmer; his children, Tim (Diane) Zellmer, Elizabeth Zellmer, and Christine Engel; and his grandchildren, Grant and Ben Zellmer, and Leila, Luke, and Isaiah Engel. Nancy L. Baker

Nancy Lou Baker, age 74, of Oshkosh, WI, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI, with her family by her side, and was reunited with her late husband, Dr. Ralph K. Baker.

Nancy was born on February 21, 1952, in Fond du Lac, daughter of Sidney and Arleen (Sommerfeldt) Sherwood. She graduated from Ripon High School in 1970, an ambitious farm girl who left Ripon shortly thereafter for the “big city,” where she earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 1974, and later for the even bigger city, where she earned her Master of Social Work degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Throughout her professional career, Nancy worked as a social worker with Green Lake County and as a therapist in private practice at both Mental Health Consultants, alongside Ralph K. Baker, and at her own namesake practice Nancy L. Baker. Nancy supported an enormous range of populations from people with developmental disabilities to children and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and grief.

Nancy was known – and will forever be remembered – as a devoted mother, a loyal sister, a fun aunt, a joyful grandmother, and a life-long friend. Nancy was also a jokester, an intellectual, a confidant, a party-thrower, a healer, a magician, a leader, a warrior, a rebel, and a matriarch for so many. She often travelled with an entourage of friends, primary among them, her sister Sue. While others may strive for minimalism, Nancy was unapologetically maximalist. She lived loud, in color or costume, ready to embark on an adventure or side quest at the drop of every silly hat she owned. In her big Oshkosh home, a visitor could find mountains of books, kitschy lamps, Aboriginal sculptures, portraits, a thimble collection, and her grandkids’ favorite novelties – several Pee-wee Herman dolls and Deedle Dudes. Nancy was the most fun, approachable, and open-hearted woman her loved ones have known. Even in her final days, she mostly smiled and giggled and understood all the jokes, just another memory to buoy the enormous fan club she leaves behind.

Nancy is survived by her son, Joshua Warren, and his dog Patchy; her sister, Sue (Rich) Kohl and her brother, Ralph (Donna) Sherwood; her niece, Angela (Brian) Pitman; her nephew, Christopher (Tracy) Kohl; her grand-nephews, Dominic Pitman and Miles Kohl and her grand-niece, Emma Kohl; her step-children, Eric (Amy) Baker, Thomas Baker, Christopher (Kelly) Baker, and Laura Jean (Ryan Ulrich) Baker; her twelve grandchildren: Denver Baker, Phoebe Baker, Camille Baker, Claire Baker, Lena Baker, Raina Baker, Irelyn Ulrich, Leo Ulrich, Sebastian Baker, Fern Ulrich, Francis Ulrich, and Gustav Ulrich; her sisters-in-law, Tamara (Terry) Liptow and their daughter, Tracy (Doug) Blank, as well as Valli Warren and her son, Spencer Lee; her brother-in-law, Keith Warren and his daughters, April and Pam; her grand-niece, Hailey Bloedow; nine Sommerfeldt cousins and their families; and a large circle of devoted friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Arleen Sherwood; sister, Anna Sherwood; husband, Dr. Ralph K. Baker; niece, Brenda Liptow; sister-in-law, Katie Warren; brother-in-law, Spencer Warren, and first husband, Larry Warren.

Visitation for Nancy will be held from 9:00 until 11:00 am on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.

Memorial service for Nancy will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, with Rev. Dr. Kevin P. Mundell officiating. You may view a livestream of the service at 11:00 am by visiting this link LIVESTREAM. Inurnment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Ripon, WI. Memorials in her name may be directed to Joshua Warren and mailed to the funeral home, PO Box 371, Ripon, WI, or any charity organization focused on mental health awareness and treatment.
