Dr. Hoek, his wife, Robin, and daughter, Karen, are working with Pupz N Palz by fostering a handsome male named Coco . He is living with the family and their other 2 dogs. Coco loves to play with Poppy and Ruby and is very glad to be out of the shelter.
Meet Coco! This little boy is a total sweetheart! He's around 3-5 years old and weights about 12 lbs. He loves playing with small toys, and was 100% potty trained to a doggy door within a week. He's precious when he curls up in a nest of blankets or a warm sunny spot. It seems like the first few years of his life were rough; he is not used to being groomed or handled much, so that is a work in progress. He sleeps in his doggy bed all night and never has an accident. In the morning, he will come up to Robin and give her snuggles and kisses. While he absolutely loves belly rubs, he's still shy when first approached or meeting new people. He is especially hesitant around men, but he only shrinks away and never tries to bite. We have tested him in uncomfortable situations, and he has never given any sign of aggression. For the summer, Dr. Hoek's grandson, who is 11, has been helping with Coco. We don't know how he would be around small children. He gets along well with other dogs, but prefers to be separated during feedings. He will chase cats and only barks a little if other dogs start barking first. Overall, this little angel wants to be loved and is working on being comfortable receiving love. Coco is very smart.
