🗣️ Is your child's mispronunciation normal — or a sign they need support?

Young children make speech errors all the time, and most are completely expected. They're called phonological processes — shortcuts kids take while their brains are still learning the rules of talking.

But each pattern has an age when it should stop. For example:

Dropping the last sound off words (like "ca" for "cat") → should stop by age 3
Saying "do" instead of "go" → should stop by age 3.5
Saying "wabbit" instead of "rabbit" → can last until ages 6–7

If your child is still using these patterns past the expected age, a speech evaluation can give you real answers — and peace of mind.
