For many LGBTQ+ people, mental health is deeply connected to feeling safe, seen, supported, and accepted. This month can bring celebration and community, but it can also bring up grief, anxiety, family tension, loneliness, or memories of not feeling fully accepted.

Both experiences are real.

Our Jill Johnson-Young, LCSW is away this week to speak at the International Death, Grief and Bereavement Conference in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She spoke for 6 hours yesterday with Debra Joy Hart in a pre- conference workshop about loneliness and grief. Later this week she will speak on Widow Fyre.
