My name is Ijaza Saadat, and I am a School Psychologist at Dr. Lake and Associates. I earned both my Specialist (Psy.S.) and Master (M.S.) degrees in School Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in 2024, and I am also a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP). Additionally, I hold a Bachelors of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience from John Carroll University. My undergraduate research (from my senior year at John Carroll University) is where my independent research project earned me an Award of Excellence for Outstanding Written Presentation at the 68th Eastern Colleges Science Conference (held at Marist College).
As a school psychologist, I truly enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults, and their families, and I’m passionate about helping people better understand themselves. I provide comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations, with the goal of identifying each person’s strengths while also gaining clarity around any challenges they may be experiencing. From there, I offer practical, personalized recommendations that can be used in everyday life.
I know that the evaluation process can sometimes feel overwhelming or uncertain, so I make it a priority to create a warm, supportive space where you feel comfortable asking questions and sharing your concerns. My approach is collaborative and thoughtful—I want you to feel heard, understood, and confident throughout the entire process.
I have a strong interest in neuropsychology, learning differences, attention-related concerns, and emotional well-being. I’m especially passionate about helping individuals and families walk away with a clearer understanding and tools that feel manageable, helpful, and empowering.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, exploring creative interests, and making time for self-care. I value balance and overall well-being, and I try to bring that same perspective into the work I do with my clients.
