Head to Wayfarer Theaters on Thursday, 7pm for a screening and panel discussion, hosted by Brushwood Center!

Brushwood Center is partnering with Wayfarer Theaters in Highland Park for a screening and panel discussion of PBS' America Outdoors with Baratunde Thurston this Thursday, September 14th at 7:00 pm.

The screening will be of Season One, Episode Six (Minnesota: A Better World) of PBS' America Outdoors with Baratunde Thurston. Following the screening Brushwood Center will host a panel moderated by Catherine Game (Executive Director of Brushwood Center). Catherine will be joined by Adam Carson (Entrepreneur, Drip & Culture), Dawaune Lamont Hayes (Artist & Cultural Curator), and Celeste Flores (Director of Community Building at Mano a Mano Family Resource Center, and fellow Brushwood Board Member) for a discussion on culture and community in the great outdoors!

Tickets are $15 to attend the screening and panel.

Free inclusive and accessible yoga at Brushwood next weekend! Bring your mat and your peeps to Ryerson Woods to move, breathe, and connect, then explore the Mother Earth Market and hit the trails. Saturday 9-10am, Sunday 11-noon.

Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods celebrates the work of artists and craftspeople who are inspired by nature and the environment.

I find deep purpose and meaning in serving my community, both on and off of my mat. I am seeking re-election to the D125 Stevenson Board of Education along with my incredible colleagues, Grace Cao, Amy Neault, and Don Tyer. Serving the Stevenson community is an absolute privilege.

Highland Park holds a huge place in my heart, and I am grieving with this beautiful community. My family called HP home for years and I have worked with many children and families there, teaching yoga, mindfulness, and meditation in schools and the park district. I would love to help any child, adult, or family directly affected by Monday's tragedy, free of charge. Please reach out if you or someone you know might benefit from my services.
