Every member of our specialty team brings unique knowledge, compassion, and dedication to helping patients navigate their healthcare journey. While each story is different, our shared commitment is providing personalized care and support every step of the way.
Today, we are excited to introduce Michele Mercer.
As our Director of Operations, Michele plays an essential role in keeping our specialty pharmacy running smoothly. Before our team continued to grow, she wore many hats and helped manage nearly every aspect of our operations. Today, she continues to oversee insurance verifications, prior authorizations, and medical billing, helping ensure patients receive the medications they need with as few barriers as possible.
Michele's journey into healthcare began in high school when she started working in a pharmacy. Although she was not sure what career path she wanted to pursue, pharmacy quickly became more than just a job. It became a passion that has shaped her career ever since.
One thing Michele wishes more people understood about specialty pharmacy is that our work extends far beyond filling prescriptions. Specialty pharmacy involves navigating insurance challenges, coordinating complex therapies, and building meaningful relationships with patients. The level of care and support provided behind the scenes is often much more involved than people realize, and every member of the team is committed to helping patients through every step of their treatment journey.
When she is not at work, Michele's happy place is at home with her husband and their dogs. Whether she is working in the yard or taking on a remodeling project, she enjoys spending time creating a place to relax and recharge.
