A Tree Planted Counseling A Tree Planted provides professional and compassionate support for all those along life's journey.

We are a co-op of counselors who all share the same vision of serving the community. We focus on historically marginalized clients and aim to empower others to reclaim their stories. We also have a nonprofit side to focus on gaps in mental health care by identifying barriers then finding creative solutions to meet the needs. Partnering with other organizations allows us to grow these services and

create rich and diverse counseling programs so all feel welcome here. We believe in:

• Providing services to everyone, especially those who face barriers
• Creating a safe and welcoming environment
• Taking care of ATP counselors and supporting their mental health and wellness
• Providing affordable or free supervision to help counselors do their best work
• Working with local organizations and reducing competition
• Diversity and representation within mental health
• Trauma-informed and research-based practices

A Tree Planted is featured in this ProPublica article regarding the unfair tactics used by United Healthcare/Optum when insuring mental health services.
At A Tree Planted, we spend time and energy advocating for fair insurance practices so those who need care can access it and mental health clinicians can be compensated for their work. Unfair practices harm us all.
