You’re being way harder on yourself than you deserve.

I say this to clients all the time.

Women who are thoughtful, responsible, and self-aware tend to hold themselves to incredibly high standards. They replay conversations, question their reactions, and wonder if they should have handled something better.

Meanwhile, the people around them usually aren’t thinking about it nearly as much.

What I often see in therapy is this:
The women who worry the most about “doing it right” are usually the ones who care the most about others.

But caring doesn’t mean you have to be perfect.

Sometimes healing looks like learning to talk to yourself with the same understanding and compassion you so easily give everyone else.

You don’t have to earn your worth by being harder on yourself.

A lot of people assume EMDR is only for major trauma.

But many of the women I work with come in saying something like:
“I know my childhood wasn’t that bad… but certain things still really affect me.”

Maybe you notice that you:
• overthink interactions
• struggle to set boundaries
• feel responsible for other people’s feelings
• get triggered in relationships even when you don’t want to

Often those patterns are connected to earlier experiences your brain never fully processed.

EMDR helps your brain reprocess those memories so they no longer carry the same emotional charge.

You don’t have to keep understanding the pattern without being able to change it.

Healing is possible.

“Think more positively” only works
if the issue is your thoughts.

Sometimes the issue is the load you’re carrying.
Or the boundaries you’re not allowed to have.
Or the trauma your body still remembers.

Real healing goes deeper than reframing.
