🌟 Resident Spotlight: Meet Donna! 🌟

Donna was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, and raised in Collinsville, Virginia. She was working with computers during their early days—long before they became part of everyday life! 💻

Donna and her husband shared 60 wonderful years together and raised two children before he passed. Today, she brings that same warmth and devotion to Elm Park Estates as one of our community ambassadors, helping new residents feel welcomed and at home. 💛

Donna is friendly, outgoing and always ready with a beautiful smile—but don’t let that smile fool you when it’s time for co****le or ladder ball! She proudly wears her “I’m a Winner” T-shirt to every game and brings plenty of energy, determination and good-natured competition. 🏆

Warm, welcoming and fiercely competitive, Donna brings so much personality and fun to our community. We are truly fortunate to have her as part of the Elm Park Estates family! 🏡💛

Our recent Town Hall included plenty of helpful information, friendly conversation and, of course, something delicious to enjoy. From fresh fruit and croissant sandwiches to a little something sweet, every detail helped turn a meeting into a gathering.

New faces. Familiar smiles. Friendships already beginning. 💛

Elm Park Estates has welcomed several new residents recently, and our longtime residents have naturally stepped into the role of welcome committee. They’re learning new names, sharing stories, saving seats at the table and helping new neighbors feel at home.

Moving somewhere new can feel like a big change. But sometimes, one warm hello, one shared meal or a simple “Come sit with us” is all it takes for unfamiliar faces to become friends. This is what community looks like—making room for new neighbors and new neighbors bringing fresh energy, laughter and stories of their own.

A heartfelt thank-you to our wonderful business partners who joined us for this month’s Town Hall meeting. They connected with our residents and families, answered important questions and shared resources that can help residents remain healthy, safe and independent.

Together, these partners offer access to:

💪 Physical, occupational and speech therapy on-site by appointment
🤝 Assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing and more, as needed
🏡 In-home doctor visits that make receiving medical care more convenient
🍽️ Local Office on Aging resources offering additional support and connections valuable to seniors
❤️ Home-health and hospice support for changing health needs

Thank you to the Local Office on Aging, Karis Care Services, HarmonyCares, Medi Home Health & Hospice, CenterWell and Advanced Health Services for being trusted members of our extended community.

🎶 There’s nothing like live music to brighten the day!

A special thank-you to Maynard, the son-in-law of one of our residents, and Lee Palmer for serenading us with a wonderful mix of country, blues and Christian music. Our residents loved every note—and we’re grateful they shared their time and talents with us! 💙🎸
