Annex Teen Clinic provides sexuality-related health care services in a friendly and comfortable setting. We also facilitate fact-based education for young people, parents, professionals and community members. The Annex Teen Clinic has been serving the community of Northwest Hennepin County and North Minneapolis since 1971.

We're proud to share that the Annex has been recognized as an LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality High Performer in the 2026 Healthcare Equality Index (HEI), earning a score of 95 out of 100. The Human Rights Campaign Health Equity Index is the nation’s leading benchmarking tool for evaluating healthcare organizations on policies and practices that support LGBTQ+ patients, visitors, and staff.

This recognition reflects the intentional work our team does every day to create a welcoming, affirming, and equitable environment for all young people. At the Annex, we believe every young person deserves access to healthcare that respects and celebrates who they are. That commitment is reflected not only in our services, but in our values and approach to care.

At a time when LGBTQ+ youth continue to face barriers to care, we remain committed to ensuring they have access to trusted, confidential, and affirming healthcare and education.

Big news from the Annex!

We’re excited to welcome Nyssa Krause as the Annex’s new Executive Director.

Nyssa brings more than a decade of leadership experience in sexual and reproductive health, along with a deep commitment to ensuring young people have access to equitable, affirming care and education. As she steps into this role, she will help lead the Annex’s next chapter while continuing to advance our mission of helping young people take charge of their whole health.

Last week the Annex staff celebrated by doing a clean up of the Annex's parking lot and greenspace as well as the surrounding street and sidewalk. It was a fun group activity that had a clear visible benefit on our local area. Thank you to all the staff who participated!

Get ready for this year's Minnesota Statewide STI Testing Week! Starting on May 4th organizations across the metro will be promoting and providing STI testing for our community. The Annex will be hosting a testing event at our clinic on Saturday, May 9th from 12-4. So share this flyer with your community and mark your calendars, we hope to see you there!

National Youth HIV & AIDS Awareness Day ( ) is commemorated annually on April 10th to urge policymakers and the public to take action regarding the impact of HIV and AIDS on young people. The day also highlights the HIV prevention, treatment, and care campaigns of young people in the U.S.

Young people can get tested for HIV and access PrEP and PEP at the Annex today and everyday.
