Constable Miguel “Mike” Martinez Roldan
May 9, 1940 – October 7, 2026

With profound sorrow and faith in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ, the Roldan family announces the passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Mike Roldan. Mike passed away on October 7, 2026, at the age of 86, with his loving family by his side. A retired Nueces County Precinct 5 Constable, he remained deeply connected to the community he had faithfully served. His family gives thanks for the blessing of his life and the years they shared.

Born on May 9, 1940, in Sandia, Texas, Mike was the cherished son of Juan Roldan and Micaela Martinez Roldan. He made his home in Robstown for most of his life, building lasting relationships with neighbors,
fellow parishioners, and the many families he came to know through his years of service. He became a familiar and respected presence in the community he was proud to call home.

A devoted Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Robstown, Mike drew strength from his faith and lived it through service and generosity. In earlier years, he served on the
church’s Parish Council. His devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary was also expressed through contributions to the Basilica of the Virgen de San Juan. He carried that same spirit of compassion into his daily life, readily offering a helping hand to those in need.

Mike dedicated more than forty years to law enforcement, serving as Constable and Chief Deputy Constable for Nueces County Precinct 5. He fulfilled his duties with honor and a sincere concern for the well-being of others. A member of the Peace Officers Association, he earned the respect of fellow officers and the trust of the families he served. His commitment to public service reflected his deep connection to Robstown and its
people.

Generations of Robstown families came to know Mike as a familiar and reassuring presence at Robstown High School football games, where he often provided security during his years of service. His steady watch over the Friday night crowds reflected his dedication to the community and his concern for the safety and
well-being of the students, families, and fans who gathered there.

As a young man, Mike learned to rope with the guidance and encouragement of his uncle Miguel and went on to rope professionally for many years.

An avid Los Angeles Dodgers fan from a very young age, Mike remained loyal to his team throughout his life, faithfully watching their games and cheering them on. He shared his love of baseball by coaching
Robstown Little League boys’ baseball teams for several years, creating memories that lasted long beyond each season. He later coached the ladies’ Nationals team in Robstown, where he met the love of his life,
Bertha, and their story together began.

Family was at the heart of Mike’s life, and he found great joy in seeing the spirit of service he valued reflected in each of his children. His son, Michael, followed in his footsteps in law enforcement and retired from the Corpus Christi Police Department. His daughter Emily serves the community through her work with the Corpus Christi–Nueces County Public Health District. Mike also shared his love of softball by coaching her Robstown Little League girls’ team to the State playoffs—an accomplishment he remembered with pride—
and delighted in her continued involvement as a collegiate softball umpire. His youngest daughter, Laurie, built her own business, Dipped Treats, in Floresville, contributing to her community through her hard work and dedication. Mike took pride in her accomplishments and cherished his visits and the time they spent together. Each child held a special place in his heart, and he treasured watching them pursue their talents and build their lives. As a grandfather, Mike was overjoyed to watch his granddaughter and grandsons play the sports he had always loved and took great pleasure in attending their ball games.

Mike also enjoyed occasional trips to Las Vegas and Kickapoo with Bertha, cherishing the time they spent together. He found his greatest joy in the family he loved so dearly, and the love they shared will remain a
lasting part of their lives. His legacy will continue in the stories they tell, preserving treasured memories of the kind and loving man who meant so much to them.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Juan Roldan and Micaela Martinez Roldan, and his siblings, Bartolo Roldan, Maria Roldan, Pedro Roldan, and Rosa Gonzalez. His family finds comfort in the hope of a heavenly reunion with those he loved and missed. They pray that he may be welcomed with the words of Scripture: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of fifty-five years, Bertha Hernandez Roldan; his children, Michael (Felicia) Alanis, Emily Roldan, and Laura (Dionicio) Roldan Cardenas; his sister, Narcisa Roldan Gonzalez; and his brother, Frank (Gracie) Roldan.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Staci Alanis (partner Antonio Perez), Kyle Alanis (partner Nicki Reid), Allison (Santino) Vasquez, Brandon Cardenas (partner Katelynn Lozoya), and Bryan Cardenas; and his great-grandchildren, Michael Ramirez, Maci Ramirez, Julian Vasquez, Matthew Vasquez, and Amelia
Vasquez. His memory will also be cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, fellow officers,
and dear friends.

The Roldan family warmly invites relatives, friends, fellow officers, parishioners, and members of the community to join them in remembrance and prayer as they honor Mike’s life.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the Robstown Early College High School Auditorium, located at 609 W. Hwy 44, Robstown, TX 78380. The Holy Rosary will
be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Ramon Funeral Home on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., for a final viewing. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 603 North First Street, Robstown, Texas. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.

As Mike’s family gathers to pray the Holy Rosary and offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for the repose of his soul, they entrust him to God’s loving mercy. They cherish the years they shared with him and will
always treasure the memories they made together. May the Blessed Virgin Mary accompany them with her love and prayers. May Christ grant them peace in their hearts and strength for each day, sustaining them
with the promise of eternal life.

Mike Roldan’s earthly watch has ended, but the love he gave and the good he did will endure in his family and the community he served. May he rest in the peace of Christ, and may his loved ones find comfort in the hope of a joyful reunion.

Martina Rojas
November 11, 1927 - October 7, 2026

It is with hearts burdened by sorrow, yet sustained by the promise of eternal life through Our Lord Jesus Christ, as the Rojas Family shares the passing of their beloved Martina Rojas who, at the blessed and graceful age of 98, was called home to the eternal embrace of Our Heavenly Father in Heaven on October 7, 2026. Although her family was blessed with nearly a century of her life, no measure of time could have prepared them to say goodbye to someone whose love had become such a cherished part of their own. For those who loved Martina, her absence will be felt in the quietest, most familiar moments in the longing to hear her voice, in the memories of meals shared together, and in the wish to sit beside her just once more. She was a mother figure whose care reached across generations, a beloved presence who made her family feel remembered, prayed for, and deeply loved. Now, those she nurtured must entrust her to the same loving God to whom she so faithfully entrusted them.

Martina was born on November 11, 1927, in Robstown, Texas, as she was the loving and cherished daughter of Doroteo Rojas and Tomasa Zuniga Rojas. In her younger years, Martina worked as a migrant worker, a factory worker, a seamstress, a laundress, and then she later devoted many years to being a caregiver. Each chapter of her life reflected her willingness to work and to care for others. The hands that labored, stitched, prepared meals, and tended to those in need became a beautiful expression of a heart that gave so much throughout her long life. She was a lifelong resident of her beloved hometown, where Martina lived a life shaped by hard work, devotion to family, and an abiding Catholic faith. Martina attended St. Mary’s Mission in Robstown, finding comfort and strength in Our Lord Jesus Christ and in the loving intercession of Our Blessed Mother. Martina found joy in the kitchen, preparing delicious meals for those she loved, and around those meals were the moments that now become priceless in the conversations, the togetherness, and the simple happiness of being near her. However, more than anything, Martina looked forward to spending time with her loved ones, who meant the world to her, and their presence was her joy, and her presence was a blessing they will forever cherish. Martina lovingly brought her family before Our Lord Jesus Christ and Our Blessed Mother, asking for their protection, guidance, and care. Those prayers were a tender expression of her love offered for the people she held closest to her heart. As her family mourns, may they find consolation in remembering how faithfully she prayed for them, and may they now surround her with their own prayers, asking God to grant her eternal rest. Martina will always be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt, mother figure, and dear friend, as her legacy lives in those she helped raise, in the family she cherished, and in the many lives touched by her kindness.

She goes home to Our Heavenly Father in Heaven where Martina is once again reunited with her beloved father, Doroteo Rojas; her mother, Tomasa Zuniga Rojas; and her siblings, Lorenzo Rojas, Juan Rojas, Jose Rojas, Simona Rojas, Ruperta Rocha, and Maria Nava who preceded her in death. The Family places their faith in Christ’s Resurrection and trust in His boundless mercy, her family prayerfully entrusts Martina to God, holding close the hope of a heavenly reunion with those who have gone before her.

Martina leaves to cherish her loving and everlasting memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of the children she helped raise, Jose (Gracie) Rojas Jr., Olga Rojas, and Sylvia Rojas; her sisters, Lucia Vargas and Evagelina Rojas; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Tiffany Marie Felan

It is with profound sorrow and hearts aching beyond words can fully share, as the Felan Family shares the untimely passing of their beloved Tiffany Marie Felan, who at the age of 44, was called home to our Heavenly Father on October 5, 2026. For those who loved Tiffany, there were still moments to share, embraces to give, and ordinary days together that now seem more precious than ever. Yet, even through the tears, her family holds tightly to the promises of Jesus Christ: that love does not end at the grave, and that Our Lord draws near to the brokenhearted, and that those who place their hope in Him are never beyond His care.

She was born on December 9, 1981, in Corpus Christi, Texas, as Tiffany was the loving and cherished daughter of Arnoldo Felan and Lila Jo Renauld. Tiffany also spent most of her life in Robstown, Texas, where the relationships she nurtured became part of the beautiful story she leaves behind. Her life was woven into the lives of her family and friends, and her absence will be felt in the places where they gathered, in conversations that will now feel incomplete, and in the moments when someone reaches for the telephone simply wishing to hear her voice. Tiffany was a Christian who attended Solid Rock Church in Corpus Christi, and in this time of heartbreaking loss, her loved ones find comfort in the Savior she worshipped and in His promise of everlasting life. For many years, Tiffany worked as a cook in the restaurant industry. When she was not working, Tiffany was also a member and volunteered with the Lighthouse of the Blind; as her willingness to give her time in service to others remains a meaningful part of her legacy, a reminder that a life’s value is found in the care we share and the people whose lives we touch. Tiffany also treasured the simple joy of being together, as she enjoyed meeting with loved ones and friends, sharing conversations, and visiting different restaurants. What made those occasions special was the opportunity to sit beside someone she cared about, to listen, to talk, and to make another memory. Above all, Tiffany dearly loved her family, as her place in their hearts cannot be filled by anyone else. Tiffany also enjoyed the quiet pleasures that made life meaningful as she loved astrology, found joy in reading, and enjoyed watching movies and short films. These interests were a cherished part of her personality, adding to the many memories her loved ones will hold close as they remember the woman they knew and loved. Tiffany will always be remembered as a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and a dear friend. Each of those relationships holds its own memories, its own tenderness, and its own grief. Together, they bear witness to a woman whose life mattered deeply and whose memory will remain close.

She goes home to Our Lord in Heaven, where Tiffany is once again reunited with her beloved husband, Steven “Yogi” Sanchez; her paternal grandparents, Antonio Torres Felan and Minerva Gutierrez Felan; and her maternal grandfathers, Mike Cantu and Paul Renauld who preceded her in death. In the hope of the resurrection, her family finds comfort in imagining Tiffany welcomed into the presence of our Heavenly Father and reunited with those she had loved and missed. Though the mystery of Heaven is greater than we can understand, they entrust her to the mercy of Jesus Christ, holding close the promise of a place where suffering is ended and every tear is wiped away.

Tiffany leaves to cherish her loving and everlasting memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of her son, Mario (Cameron Zarate) Flores; her father, Arnoldo Felan; her mother, Lila Jo Renauld; her sister, Felicia (Arthur Charles) Rosean Felan; her brother, Arnoldo Felan Jr.; her grandmother, Reyna Cantu; and her beloved grandson, Antonio Angel Flores. Tiffany also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many dear friends who will continue to honor her life and carry her memory in their hearts.

Antonia Silguero Nerio
January 17, 1942 - September 30, 2026

The Nerio and Silguero families share with deep sadness the passing of their beloved Antonia Silguero Nerio. Antonia entered eternal rest on September 30, 2026, at the age of 84, surrounded by her loving family. Her family is grateful for the many years they shared with her and for the love, strength, and care she gave so freely throughout her life.

Antonia was born on January 17, 1942, in Yorktown, Texas, to Jose Silguero and Maria Quintana Silguero. A lifelong resident of Robstown, she was a devoted Catholic and attended Mass at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Her faith showed most clearly in the way she cared for people. Antonia was, above all, a nurturing person who put the needs of others before her own. She cared for her mother for more than 40 years, cared for her disabled daughter for 10 years, and cared for her husband during the last year of his life. These years of caregiving reflected the patience, strength, and self-sacrifice that defined her. Antonia also cared for children as a nanny for 30 years. While holding various blue-collar jobs to help support her family, she continued to give her time to causes around Robstown. She volunteered at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, helping clean the church and assisting with parish bingo activities. Whether she was caring for family, children, her church, or her community, Antonia gave of herself without seeking recognition.

Antonia was preceded in death by her beloved son, “Little Joe” Nerio; her husband, Guillermo “Willie” Nerio; her parents, Jose Silguero and Maria Quintana Silguero; her brother, Reynaldo Silguero; and her sister, Sovieda Villarreal. Her family takes comfort in their faith and in the hope that she is reunited with those she loved who went before her.

Antonia’s memory will live on through her loving children, Guillermo Nerio, Jr., Rodolfo (Margarita Rojas) Nerio, and Sylvana (Elias) Borjas; her brothers, Israel Silguero and Jose Silguero; her nine grandchildren; her ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. They will remember her as a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, caregiver, and friend. Above all, she will be remembered for the way she cared for others—quietly, faithfully, and often at great personal sacrifice. Nurturing those she loved was not simply something Antonia did; it was the heart of who she was and the lasting gift she leaves behind.

Julia Escobedo Mungia

It is with indescribable sadness, deeply broken hearts, and tears that words cannot begin to explain as the Mungia and Escobedo Families share the passing of their dearly beloved Julia Escobedo Mungia, who, at the graceful age of 80, was called home to be with Our Heavenly Father in Heaven on September 26, 2026, with her loving family by her side. Yet, beneath the weight of their grief, they hold close the hope of their faith, trusting in the mercy of Our Lord Jesus Christ and His promise of everlasting life; as they prayerfully entrust Julia to the loving care of the Father, asking Him to grant her eternal rest and to sustain those who must continue their earthly journey without her beside them.

She was born on May 21, 1946, in the humble community of Robstown, Texas, as Julia was the loving and cherished daughter of Margarito Escobedo and Teodosa Olivera Escobedo. Julia was a Catholic in her faith; she was a homemaker, as Julia devoted much of her life to caring for her household and the loved ones within it. There is a special tenderness in remembering someone whose work was so closely connected to home; as the meals prepared, the daily responsibilities attended to, and the time given to family. Julia also occasionally helped her husband with the business at Mungia’s Construction, sharing her time and lending her support; as her contributions were part of a life spent caring for what mattered to her. Julia also resided most of her life in Robstown, where the years became filled with the people, places, and precious moments that made up her beautiful story. It was there that she devoted herself to her home and family, formed lasting friendships, and left memories that will forever remain close to the hearts of those who knew her. When she was not tending to her household, Julia volunteered at the Robstown Community Hall, where she shared her caring spirit with the community she called home. Those who worked alongside her and those whose lives crossed hers will remember her in their own special ways, each holding a piece of the story of a woman who made a lasting impact. Julia also looked forward to going dancing and cherished the happiness those occasions brought her; as the music, the movement, and the enjoyment of doing something she loved; as she loved cooking for her loved ones, giving something of herself in the food she prepared and the care behind it. For her family, those meals will always mean more than what was placed on a table. They will recall the woman who made them, the occasions they shared, and the feeling of being together. Above all, nothing meant more to Julia than spending time with her family, especially at family gatherings; where her loved ones were the light of her life and her true blessings. Being together gave her something no earthly possession could offer: the joy of sharing life with the people she held closest to her heart. Julia will always be remembered as a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a true friend to so many, where her memory will live in the stories told by those who knew her, in the photographs carefully treasured, and in the family traditions that keep her close.

Julia goes home to Our Heavenly Father, and her loved ones take prayerful comfort in the hope of a joyous reunion in Heaven with her beloved son, Joel Mungia; her husband, Jose “Chuy” G. Mungia; her father, Margarito Escobedo; her mother, Teodosa Olivera Escobedo; and her siblings, Consuelo Garza, Oralia Hernandez, Margarita Garza, and Herminia Martinez, who preceded her in death. One can only imagine the tenderness of that reunion, the familiar faces, and the long-awaited embraces of those she missed so dearly. While her family here on earth grieves her departure, they find consolation in imagining Julia welcomed with love, as they pray that she may rest forever in the light and peace of Christ.

Julia leaves to cherish her everlasting and loving memory that will continue to live on in the hearts of her beloved children, Jose Angel (Terry Amaya) Mungia, Esteban (Lisa) Mungia, Bobby Joe (Tammy) Mungia; her daughter-in-law, Melissa (The Late Joel) Mungia; her siblings, Herlinda Garcia, Pedro (Lydia) Escobedo, Estella (Reymundo) Carrillo, Hermelinda “Mellie” Moore, who was raised as her sister and shared a cherished bond with her. She was also blessed with the love of her twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren, with three more precious bundles of joy on the way; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends Julia met throughout her life.

Rogelio M. Villarreal
October 20, 1953 - October 4, 2026

It is with broken hearts and a sorrow too deep for words to explain, as the Villarreal Family shares the passing of their beloved Rogelio M. Villarreal, who at the blessed age of 72, was called home to Our Heavenly Father in Heaven on October 4, 2026. There are no words to measure the sorrow of a wife grieving the man who shared 53 years of her life, of children mourning their father, or of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who must now carry his love forward through memory. Yet, even through their tears, his family clings to the promise of their faith, that death does not have the final word, that Christ remains near to the brokenhearted, and that those entrusted to His infinite mercy are never beyond the reach of His love.

He was born on October 20, 1953, in the humble community of Sinton, Texas, as Rogelio was the cherished son of Gilberto F. Villarreal and Maria Martinez Villarreal. Rogelio was a man of the Catholic faith as he attended Mass at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Robstown. For more than 48 years, Rogelio worked as a truck driver, where his years on the road reflected his remarkable dedication to work and the perseverance with which he approached his responsibilities; as he loved to work, and time away from it was rare. Those decades represent much more than an occupation; they represent a substantial portion of his life given to steady effort, long journeys, and the work he took pride in doing. When Rogelio did step away from work, he found enjoyment in the simple pleasures of life; as he loved fishing, especially at the river at Labonte Park. There, beside the water, Rogelio could enjoy a quieter pace and the pleasure of doing something he loved. He was also always ready for a game of Bingo and Rogelio enjoyed going swimming. These interests were part of the Rogelio his loved ones knew: a hardworking man who could still appreciate a little recreation, a familiar pastime, and time spent enjoying life. Above everything else, Rogelio treasured his family, as they were the light of his world. Even though Rogelio enjoyed his favorite pastimes, nothing held greater meaning than spending time with the people he loved. Rogelio will forever be remembered as a loving and caring son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and dear friend; as each person who mourns him brings a different memory, a different connection, and a different reason why saying goodbye is so difficult.

Rogelio goes home to Our Heavenly Father in Heaven where he is once again reunited with his father, Gilberto F. Villarreal; his mother, Maria Martinez Villarreal; his sister, Aurora Castro; and his brothers, Gilberto Villarreal Jr. and Fernando Villarreal who preceded him in death. As his family commends him to Our Heavenly Father, they take comfort in the hope of a reunion with those who went before him. Through eyes filled with tears, they imagine the joy of seeing loved ones Rogelio had so dearly missed and finding peace in the presence of God.

Rogelio leaves to cherish his everlasting memory that will continue to live on in the hearts of his devoted wife of 53 years, Margarita Villarreal; his sons, Ernesto Villarreal and Roger Villarreal; his daughter, Valerie Villareal; and his siblings, Jesusa Zamora, Armando (Adriana) Villarreal Sr., and Dominga Villarreal; as well as his two granddaughters he helped raise, Sabrina Nicole Gaona, and Felicity Marie Villarreal. He was also blessed and adored by his six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.

In the days ahead, his family will need the comfort of prayer, the kindness of those around them, and room to grieve in their own ways. There will be moments when a memory brings unexpected laughter and others when the tears return without warning; as their Catholic faith gives them permission to bring that sorrow before God. They may place their grief in His hands, trusting that He will remain beside them when their strength feels small.

The Villarreal Family humbly and sincerely invites relatives, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Rogelio to join them in prayer as they mourn his passing, honor his memory, and celebrate the blessing of his life; as a Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Ramon Funeral Home, 800 Lincoln Avenue, Robstown, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 12, 2026, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 204 Dunne Avenue, Robstown, Texas. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.

May the Lord grant you rest after your many years of labor; may His mercy surround you, His peace receive you, and His love bring comfort to everyone who must now learn to live without your physical presence.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
