It is with shattered hearts, tear-filled eyes, and a sorrow too deep for words to fully capture as the Felan and Rojas Families share the unexpected passing of their beloved Sabrina Nicole Rojas, who at the loving age of 31, was called home to be with Our Heavenly Father on May 25, 2026.

She was born on July 17, 1994 in Corpus Christi, Texas, as Sabrina was the cherished and loving daughter of Savino Rojas Sr. and Diane Hinojosa Rojas. From the very moment she entered this world, Sabrina brought a beautiful light into the lives of everyone who knew and loved her. Sabrina’s smile could comfort a hurting heart, her laughter could brighten even the darkest day, and her love was the kind that wrapped itself around those she loved and never let go. Sabrina was a devoted Catholic who faithfully attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Mission in Robstown. Sabrina’s faith in God was deeply rooted within her heart, and though her earthly journey ended far too soon, her family finds comfort in knowing that she has now been embraced by the loving arms of Our Lord Jesus Christ and welcomed into the eternal peace of Heaven. Sabrina dedicated her professional life as a Safety Inspector for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, where she worked diligently and honorably, always caring for the well-being and safety of others. She was also formerly employed as a server at Niko’s Steakhouse in Corpus Christi, where many remember her warm smile, kind spirit, and friendly personality that made everyone feel welcomed and appreciated. Yet beyond all of her accomplishments, titles, and responsibilities, Sabrina’s greatest joy in life was her family. Whether it was attending concerts to hear artists like Ella Langley and Jason Aldean, sharing laughter during family gatherings, making memories with her children, or simply sitting beside those she loved, Sabrina treasured every moment she was blessed to spend with her family. She was the kind of person who made others feel safe, valued, and deeply loved. Sabrina was a loving daughter and a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a caring sister, a treasured granddaughter, a beloved niece, cousin, and a faithful friend. Sabrina’s beautiful soul touched countless lives, and the emptiness left behind by her passing is simply indescribable.

There are some goodbyes in life that forever change a family, and this is one of them; as the silence left behind by her voice, the emptiness where her laughter once echoed, the heartbreak of knowing her loved ones can no longer hold her close or hear her say “I love you” again, and yet, even through unbearable grief, the family finds comfort in imagining the glorious moment Sabrina entered the Gates of Heaven. What a beautiful reunion that must have been as she was welcomed home by those who preceded her in death: her grandparents, Francisco Hinojosa, Maria Hinojosa, Antonio Esparza Felan, and Minerva G. Felan. One can only imagine the tears of joy, the long-awaited embraces, and the overwhelming love that surrounded Sabrina as Heaven opened its gates and Our Lord whispered the words, “Welcome home.”

Though her time on earth was far too short, Sabrina’s love will continue to live on forever in the hearts of her loving husband, Arnold Felan Jr.; her precious daughters, Aaliyah Serenity Felan and Natalie Jo Felan; her parents, Savino Rojas Sr. and Diane Hinojosa Rojas; her in-laws, Arnold Felan Sr. and Lila Jo Felan; her siblings, Crystal (Josh Perez) Rojas, Leslie (Miguel) Rangel, Diane Angelita (David Yepez) Rojas, and Savino Rojas Jr.; her grandmother-in-law, Reyna Cantu; her loving aunt, Valerie Marie Adame; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends whose lives were forever blessed by Sabrina’s love and presence.

Though their hearts are broken beyond measure, Sabrina’s family knows that love like hers never truly dies. It lives on in every cherished memory, in every family gathering, in every song that reminds them of her, in every whispered prayer, and every tear that falls from hearts that will forever miss her. The family humbly asks for continued prayers during this tremendously difficult time and finds peace in the promise of our faith, that death is not the end, but the beginning of eternal life with God. Until the day they meet again in Heaven, Sabrina Nicole Rojas will remain deeply loved, forever missed, and eternally remembered.

David Jesus Vargas
December 24, 1963 - May 23, 2026

It is with heavy hearts, and tear-filled eyes as the Vargas Family shares the passing of their beloved David Jesus Vargas, who at the blessed age of 62, was called home into the loving arms of Our Heavenly Father on May 23, 2026. As Heaven’s gates opened wide to receive him, a loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, faithful son, caring brother, and treasured friend entered eternal rest surrounded by the grace and mercy of God.

David was born on December 24, 1963, in Memphis, Texas, and from the very beginning of his life, he carried within him a humble spirit, a compassionate heart, and a quiet strength that would touch the lives of so many throughout the years. He was the cherished son of Juan Vargas and Lucia Rojas Vargas and was raised with strong Catholic values, deep love for family, and unwavering faith in God that remained with him throughout his entire life. David was a faithful Catholic who attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas, where he served as an Altar Server during his younger years. Those who knew David knew the kindness that radiated from him, the calmness in his voice, and the sincere love he carried for every person blessed enough to cross his path. David’s faith was not merely spoken, rather it was lived daily through his compassion, humility, sacrifices, and devotion to those he loved most. David also dedicated over twenty years of faithful service as an Inspector for multiple companies including these last few years with Atlas Tubular, where he earned the respect and admiration of his coworkers through his strong work ethic, loyalty, and integrity. Yet beyond his profession, David’s greatest accomplishment in life was not found in titles or years of service, but in the family he adored with every ounce of his heart. David’s family was everything to him and nothing brought him greater joy to his soul than spending precious time with his beloved grandchildren, watching them laugh, grow, and fill his life with purpose. He also treasured every moment he spent with his children as he watched them grow from young children into adults with families of their own. The love David carried for his family was immeasurable and unconditional; whether through a comforting word, a warm embrace, a sacrifice quietly made, or simply his presence beside those he loved, David made his family feel safe, protected, and deeply cherished. David was the kind of man whose love spoke louder than words, and his passing leaves an emptiness that can never truly be filled, and the silence left behind by his absence now echoes deeply within the hearts of all who knew and loved him. The world feels dimmer without his smile, quieter without his laughter, and forever changed without his loving presence among us.

David now enters into eternal life where he is joyfully reunited once again with his beloved father, Juan Vargas; his precious son, Michael Paul Vargas; and his dear brother, Juan “John” Vargas Jr who preceded him in death. What a beautiful and glorious reunion that must have been in Heaven, as the gates of eternity opened as his loved ones rushed forward to embrace him once again. One can only imagine the tears of joy, the overwhelming peace, and the heavenly welcome as David was greeted with open arms by those he had longed to see once more. No more pain. No more suffering. Only everlasting peace in the presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Though our hearts are shattered here on earth, we find comfort in knowing that David’s life did not end, it merely changed. David’s love remains alive within every cherished memory, every lesson he taught, every prayer whispered for him, and every heartbeat of the family he loved so dearly.

David leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on forever in the hearts of his loving wife of 13 years, though together for more than 35 beautiful years, Delia Castillo Vargas; his children, Dominic (Jeinny) Vargas, David (Crystal) Vargas Jr., and Rhonda Vargas; his loving mother, Lucia Rojas Vargas; his siblings, Santiago “Jimmy” (Lydia) Vargas, Lucy (Vicente) Arriaga, and Victor (Irma) Vargas. He was also deeply loved and adored by his eighteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless dear friends whose lives were forever blessed by his kindness, wisdom, and love.

As we say goodbye to David Jesus Vargas, we do so with broken hearts but with faith-filled hope, trusting in God’s promise of eternal life. Though tears now fall endlessly from our eyes, we know that someday, through the mercy of Christ, we shall see him again. Until that beautiful day comes, David will remain forever loved, forever missed, and forever carried within our hearts.

Jessica Velasquez Rodriguez
May 31, 1982 - May 15, 2026

The Saldivar and Velasquez families regretfully announce the passing of Jessica Velasquez Rodriguez, who went to be with our Lord on May 15, 2026, at the age of 43. Jessica was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Richard Velasquez and Blanca Saldivar Favela, and leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will live on through those who knew her.

Jessica was a 2000 graduate of Robstown High School. She earned her medical assistant degree from Southern Careers Institute and spent the last several years as a home health provider to both of her parents, balancing the responsibilities of her job with her devotion as a daughter.

Jessica was the proud mother of two children, Austin and Sofia, who filled her soul with pride and hope.

Those who spent time with Jessica knew no matter the situation, she had a big heart and a generous spirit she shared with those in need.

Jessica touched the lives of everyone she knew with kindness and a fierce sense of humor that brought a shining light to holidays and family gatherings. Everyone knew the moment she walked through the door they were in for an entertaining time filled with love, laughter, and great memories.

Jessica is survived by her children, Austin Bryce Carrillo and Sofia Reyna Rodriguez; her parents, Blanca Saldivar Favela and Richard Velasquez; her sister, Daisy Velasquez Ruiz; her brother-in-law, Manuel Ruiz; and her nephew, Kristopher Ruiz.

Jessica was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Reyna Saldivar and Alfonso Saldivar; and her paternal grandparents, Hijinio and Matilde Velasquez.

Jessica’s services will be held at Ramon Funeral Home, 800 Lincoln Ave, Robstown, Texas. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. A Final Farewell Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 28th, 2026.

Johnny “Johnny Boy” R. Cisneros

It is with broken hearts, and profound sorrow that words can scarcely express, as the Cisneros Family shares the passing of their beloved Johnny “Johnny Boy” R. Cisneros, who at the loving age of 66, was called home into the loving arms of Our Heavenly Father on May 14, 2026. As Heaven opened its gates and the angels rejoiced in Johnny’s arrival, those left here on earth were overcome with unimaginable sadness at the loss of a man whose love, kindness, strength, and presence meant so much to so many.

Johnny was born on July 16, 1959, in the humble town of Robstown as he was the cherished and loving son of Juan Cisneros and Lydia Rodriguez Cisneros. From the very beginning of his life, Johnny carried within him a humble spirit, a caring heart, and a deep love for his family that would define the man he became. Johnny was raised with strong values, unwavering faith, and a deep understanding of what it meant to work hard, love deeply, and always stand beside the people you cared for. Johnny was a devoted Catholic and a faithful parishioner of St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church in Banquete where he found comfort, guidance, and peace in his faith in God. Through every season of life whether it was the joyful moments and the difficult storms, Johnny carried his faith within his heart. He believed in the power of prayer, the strength of family, and the promise of eternal life through Our Lord Jesus Christ. Today, while his loved ones mourn with shattered hearts, they also find comfort in knowing that Johnny now rests peacefully in the eternal glory of Heaven where pain, suffering, and sorrow no longer exist. Johnny dedicated many years of his life as a hardworking truck driver, a profession he took great pride in. Through the years, Johnny faithfully worked for companies such as Commercial Metals, Ram-Bro, Bay LTD, WPI, Nueces Vacuum, Circle C, Gator Trucking, Evergreen, Garza Trucking, and Omni Source. Johnny often worked long hours, he was also on difficult roads, and countless sacrifices he made never stopped Johnny from providing for the people he loved. He was the kind of man who understood the meaning of responsibility and honor. No matter how tired he was, Johnny always found a way to show up for his family, offering his love, guidance, humor, and unwavering support. Although Johnny worked hard throughout his life, nothing in this world meant more to him than his family, as they were his greatest joy that came from being surrounded by the people he loved most. In 1991, Johnny’s life became even more beautiful when he married the love of his life, his best friend, and his soulmate, Rebecca “Becky” Paredez Cisneros. Through their union, Johnny not only gained a wife, but he was lovingly welcomed into a caring family of twelve brothers and sisters who embraced him as one of their own. He especially treasured the close bond he shared with the five brothers who became such an important part of his life. Together, Johnny and Becky built a life filled with love, laughter, memories, sacrifices, and unwavering devotion for 34 beautiful years. Johnny was the kind of man whose presence could light up a room, and he possessed a heart that was compassionate, sincere, and genuine. He was a loving husband who adored his wife, a devoted father who treasured his children, a caring brother and uncle who was always there when needed, and a loyal friend whose kindness touched countless lives. Whether through a simple conversation, a helping hand, or his unforgettable smile, Johnny had a way of making people feel valued and loved. Those who knew Johnny will forever remember his strength, his sense of humor, his loyalty, and the tremendous love he gave so freely to everyone around him. Johnny’s absence leaves a silence that cannot be filled and a pain that words cannot heal, as the tears that fall today come from hearts that were blessed to love such an incredible man.

As Johnny entered into eternal rest, one can only imagine the glorious reunion that took place in Heaven, as he was welcomed with open arms was by his beloved daughter, Priscilla Cisneros; his loving parents, Juan Cisneros and Lydia Rodriguez Cisneros; his dear brother, Alfonso Cisneros, and his caring step-brother, Roland Vera all of whom preceded him in death. What an emotional and beautiful moment it must have been as Heaven rejoiced and long-awaited embraces took place once again. Though his family here on earth grieves deeply, they find peace in knowing that Johnny is no longer suffering and is now reunited with those he loved so dearly.

It is with tear-filled eyes, and unending sorrow as the Arellano and Aguilar Families share the passing of their beloved Sara Aguilar Arellano, who at the blessed age of 71, was peacefully called home to be with Our Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven on May 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family who never left her side during her final moments on earth. While the hearts of those who loved Sara now ache with indescribable pain, Heaven gained a beautiful soul whose love, kindness, and faith touched countless lives throughout her precious journey here on earth.

Sara was born on November 19, 1954, in Houston, Texas, and was the cherished and adored daughter of Jose Aguilar and Zenaida Hinojosa Aguilar. From the very beginning, Sara carried within her a loving spirit, a compassionate heart, and a warmth that made everyone around her feel welcomed, comforted, and deeply loved. She was a devoted Pentecostal who faithfully attended Filadelfia Iglesia in Robstown, Texas, where her faith in God remained strong throughout every season of her life. Sara believed wholeheartedly in the promises of eternal life, and even during difficult times, she continued to trust in God’s grace, mercy, and everlasting love. Sara dedicated many years of her life caring for others, as she worked over 10 years in the home health industry where she lovingly provided comfort and care to those in need. She also faithfully served for over 10 years as a funeral assistant with Ramon Funeral Home in Robstown, Texas, where she compassionately walked beside grieving families during some of the darkest moments of their lives. Sara’s gentle spirit, comforting words, and caring heart brought peace to so many people who will never forget the kindness she showed them during their time of sorrow. Sara was not simply an employee or caregiver, rather she was a blessing to everyone she encountered. Although Sara worked hard throughout her life, nothing brought her greater joy than the love of her family, as they were truly the center of her world. She loved spending precious moments with those she loved most, creating memories that her family will forever hold close within their hearts. Sara enjoyed watching movies, playing Bingo, and spending time at the game rooms laughing and enjoying life, but above all else, she treasured every moment she could spend surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and loved ones. Sara’s laughter, her smile, her comforting presence, and the unconditional love she gave so freely will forever echo within the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Sara will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted daughter, an incredible wife, a caring mother, a treasured sister, a proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and a dear friend whose kindness left an everlasting impact on so many lives. She possessed a heart that loved deeply, forgave easily, and cared endlessly. Sara’s beautiful soul was one that made people feel safe, valued, and loved, and her absence now leaves a void that words simply cannot describe.

Though her family’s hearts are shattered by her passing, they find peace and comfort in knowing that Sara was welcomed home into the loving arms of Our Savior Jesus Christ, where she is now free from pain, sorrow, and suffering forevermore. What a glorious reunion it must have been as Sara entered the Gates of Heaven and was reunited once again with tears of joy and eternal love with her beloved daughter, Lisa Ann Hernandez; her loving father, Jose Aguilar; her cherished mother, Zenaida Hinojosa Aguilar; her dear brother, Mike Aguilar; and her beloved sister, Sylvia Maldonado. One can only imagine the overwhelming joy that filled Heaven at the moment they were reunited once again in God’s eternal kingdom.

Sara leaves behind to cherish and honor her beautiful life and everlasting memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of her loving husband of 54 years, Luis Arellano; her loving children, Luis (Edna Pena) Arellano Jr. and Esmeralda (Lee Gibson) Aguilar; her beloved siblings, Jose “Popeye” (Mary Lou) Aguilar, Diana Landin, Sandra (Jay) Villagram, George (Sylvia) Aguilar, Veronica (Gabriel) Gonzalez, Charlie (Susie) Aguilar, Rosa (Tudy) Acosta, and Faviola Aguilar. Sara was also deeply loved and adored by her thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, one precious great-grandchild on the way, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends whose lives were forever blessed by knowing her.

Pedro “Pete” Almendarez
May 10, 1944 - May 13, 2026

Pedro (Pete) Almendarez, Sr., 82 years old, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in McKinney, Texas, on May 10, 1944, to his parents, Trinidad and Aurelia Garza Almendarez. Pete was a man known for his kindness, humor and willingness to help others. He loved traveling, especially going on cruises and making stops at Buc-ee’s along the way. He never met a stranger and was always ready with a joke or story that could make others laugh. He proudly served our Country in the United States Navy as a Gunners Mate 2nd class. He was aboard the USS Constellation until his deployment to Vietnam, where he served two tours. Pete was a recipient of a Bronze Star with a V for Valor. In 1971, he opened and operated his own barber shop, Pete’s Crazy Hair, until his retirement in 2020. His shop meant everything to him, and he took great pride in the friendships and memories made through the years. He also loved music, dancing and gathering with family and friends to celebrate life to the fullest. A faithful Catholic, he was a devoted parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Robstown during the 1970’s and during that time he was a member of the men’s club, Padres de familia, American Legion and the Knights of Columbus. He was a current parishioner of St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church in Corpus Christi and he remained strong in his faith throughout his life. Pete was a WWE Wrestling fan and a true diehard Dallas Cowboys fan, even through the not-so-great seasons “Mas Triste.” He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Trinidad and Aurelia Almendarez; and his brother, Merced “Mercy” Almendarez.

Pete is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Santos M. Almendarez; two sons, Pete (Michelle) Almendarez and Tony (Alicia) Almendarez; two daughters, Ida (Woody) Gonzales and Lisa Almendarez; two brothers, Teodoro Almendarez and Fidel (Oralia) Almendarez; two sisters, Virginia (Joe) Macias and Rita Almendarez Ramos; seven grandchildren, Stephanie (Jorge) Ramirez, Dustin (Amanda) Almendarez, Kasey Young, Nathaniel (Lexi) Garza, Matthew (Samantha) Cavazos-Gonzales, Luke Gonzales, and Ellia Almendarez; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends; and his beloved four-legged son, Chico.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday May 28, 2026 at Ramon Funeral Home, 800 Lincoln Ave. Robstown, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am on Friday May 29, 2026 at St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church, 3901 Violet Rd. Corpus Christi, Texas. Interment will follow at the Coastal Bend State Veteran Cemetery, 9974 IH-37 Corpus Christi, Texas.

Pallbearers will be: Dustin Almendarez, Kasey Young, Ricky Martinez, Steve Macias, Ronnie Almendarez and Victor Ramos.

Julia Rodriguez Mayorga
February 21, 1934 - May 8, 2026

It is with broken hearts, and unending tears of sorrow as the Mayorga and Rodriguez Families share the passing of their beloved matriarch, Julia Rodriguez Mayorga, who at the blessed and beautiful age of 92, was called home into the loving arms of Our Heavenly Father on May 8, 2026. As Heaven opens its gates to welcome one of God’s faithful daughter home, the hearts of all who knew and loved Julia now know she rests peacefully in eternal glory.

She was born on February 21, 1934, in the humble and close-knit town of Robstown, Texas. Julia was the daughter of Geronimo Rodriguez and Esther Gonzales Rodriguez., Julia was a devoted Catholic who held her faith close to her heart and attended St. Patrick’s Mission Church in San Patricio.

Though her family’s hearts ache beyond measure, they find comfort in imagining the glorious reunion that took place in Heaven the moment Julia entered through the Gates of Heaven. There, waiting with open arms and endless tears of joy, was the love of her life and beloved husband, Manuel Mayorga; her loving parents, Geronimo Rodriguez and Esther Gonzales Rodriguez; and her beloved siblings, Guadalupe Valadez, Maria Barrera, Julio Rodriguez, Juan Rodriguez, and Raul Rodriguez, all of whom preceded her in death.

Although Julia’s earthly journey has come to an end, the beautiful memories she created and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on forever within the hearts of her loving children, Dora (Juan) Hernandez, Aminta (Noel) Aguilar, Jesse (Sandra) Mayorga, Noelia (Hermilo, Jr.) Pena, Manuel (Maryann) Mayorga Jr., and Santiago (Diana Jimenez) Mayorga; and her beloved sister, Rosa Rodriguez Zuniga. Julia was also richly blessed with twenty grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren who brought immeasurable pride, joy, and happiness into her life.

The Family would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt invitation to all of their beloved family members and dear friends to join them as they gather together in prayer, remembrance, and love to celebrate the beautiful and meaningful life of Julia Rodriguez Mayorga, as a visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM that same evening at Ramon Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 22, 2026, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Patricio Catholic Cemetery. Julia will be taken to her final resting place by her beloved grandsons: Hermilo Pena III, Jesse Mayorga Jr., Justin Mayorga, Jason Mayorga, Manuel Mayorga III, Angel Pena, and honorary pallbearer Jon Hernandez.

May the angels now lead Julia into Paradise, where she may forever rest in the eternal peace, love, and glory of Our Lord Jesus Christ. May perpetual light shine upon her, and may she rest peacefully in Heaven for all eternity.
