Active games were in full swing this week at Waltonwood Main Memory Care!
Our residents enjoyed some friendly competition with co****le, balloon volleyball, and broom ball—and we’re pretty sure our staff may have had just as much fun (if not more!) than the residents.
Lots of movement, laughter, teamwork, and smiles all around. Who says exercise can’t be fun?

Stony Creek Beach was exactly what we needed!
The fresh air, gentle breeze, warm sand, and sound of the waves made for the perfect summer outing.
But the best part? The playground! We loved swinging, spinning, and watching the kids play. There’s something pretty special about feeling like a kid again—no matter your age!
So much laughter, so much joy, and so much FUN with our Memory Care residents at Waltonwood Main. These are the moments that matter.

Today we celebrated the Gorgeous Grandmas of Waltonwood Main Memory Care in style!

Our beautiful ladies were treated to a little pampering with hair, makeup, and nails, followed by elevated appetizers and decadent desserts. We wrapped up the celebration with a special awards ceremony and dance party.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating these incredible women and reminding them just how beautiful they are—inside and out.

What an incredible opportunity for our Memory Care neighborhood residents!

Our residents had the chance to participate in Minds on Art at the Detroit Institute of Arts—a collaborative program with the Alzheimer’s Association Michigan Chapter designed especially for individuals experiencing Alzheimer’s disease or memory loss.

Through art, conversation, and connection, residents were encouraged to express themselves, engage their minds, and enjoy meaningful social interaction. It was such a special experience filled with creativity, connection, and moments that truly matter.

Huge thank you to Alzheimer's Association and Detroit Institute of Arts. We will be back!

Meet Lincoln! 🖤🐾

One look into Lincoln's big, soulful eyes, and you'll know there's a special little dog waiting to be loved.

This adorable 30-pound Pekingese mix has had a difficult start in life. Raised in a breeding environment with many other dogs, Lincoln never had the chance to learn that people can be kind and loving. Because of that, he's shy and cautious—but every day brings the possibility of a little more trust.

Lincoln is looking for a patient adopter who understands that the best relationships are built slowly. He'll need a calm, quiet home where he can decompress, heal, and discover what it means to be someone's cherished companion.

Lincoln is currently receiving treatment for heartworms, so he'll need a peaceful home with limited activity while he recovers. Once he's healthy and feels safe, we believe this sweet boy will blossom into an incredibly loyal friend.

Sometimes the dogs who ask for the most patience end up giving the biggest pieces of their hearts.
