Last month I completed my Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine (DAcCHM) at the New York Academy of Medicine earning a Summa Cum Laude.
This last year was one of the most stressful years of my entire life. I was finishing my doctorate degree, finishing clinical hours, expanding our current clinic Seven Medicine with a new build-out which will be located over by West Circle Drive, all while raising 2 boys in sports, and continuing working at my clinical practice at Seven Medicine all while still trying to find time to volunteer and tend to my garden. 🫶🏼
The program consisted of hours and hours of lectures with endless research papers, presentations, a debate- which I have never done in my life, clinical study research, as well as clinical hours which I completed with Dr. Abby Splittstoesser who will be next to us in our brand new build, as well as interviews with physicians, orthodontists and chiropractors including Dr. Jessica Wilcken- a neonatologist at Essentia Health and Dr. Grant Collins- a leading orthodontist in Rochester which many of us know as “The Braces Guy”. Thank you all for allowing me to make it this far. 🥹
I thank everybody who has helped me through this program including and most importantly, my mom- couldn’t have done it without her watching the kiddos and being my rock through the ups and downs of the entire program.
