New Driftless Team Member: Meet Elise! 🩵

Elise is joining us this summer to help with all the behind-the-scenes things that keep Driftless running without me fully dissolving into caffeine and administrative chaos.

She’ll be helping with scheduling support, client communication, office tasks, and keeping me at least partially sane during busy days.

She’s smart, kind, hardworking, and learning quickly...which means naturally I’ve already thrown her into the deep end of small business life. Very “trial by fire,” but with IV fluids and spreadsheets.

Also, a gentle reminder from her aunt: Please be nice to the new girl. She’s doing great. If you make her cry, I will become difficult to deal with. 😉

We’re excited to have her here this summer!

I’ve been having a lot of conversations lately with other women business owners/professionals who are just...burnt out.

Not “need a vacation” tired. More like “I miss having brain space for literally anything besides responsibilities” tired.

And honestly, it’s making me wonder if there would be interest in a casual women’s day retreat locally.

Not a super polished influencer wellness thing. More like good conversations, nervous system reset, good food, honest discussions, maybe some wellness experiences, and a room full of women going “oh thank God it’s not just me.”

No sales pitch. No pretending we have life figured out.

Just creating space to breathe a little.

Accidentally caught a little neighborhood crossover episode this morning… 😄

Walked out the door on my way to the office and saw my brother across the street installing cabinets.

Just two local small businesses out here doing our thing.

There’s something really cool about watching hardworking people build their businesses.

🩵 Clinic Schedule Update 🩵

Working the marathon weekend immediately followed by 17 appointments on Monday has apparently reminded me that I am, in fact, a human person and not a rechargeable medical device.

So...I’m taking Friday off to recover a bit, and Driftless will also be closed Monday for the holiday weekend.

Messages and callbacks may be a little slower during that time, but we’ll get back to everyone as soon as possible once we return.

Thank you all for the nonstop support, referrals, and trust in our little clinic.

You’ve kept us BUSY lately...which is both deeply appreciated and mildly concerning for my caffeine intake. (You know that Diet Dr. Pepper is coming in clutch this week.)🤎🥤

Just finished setting up our hydration trailer at the and accidentally caught the first half marathon finisher flying through already. (Mike misspoke, the brothers actually finished about a minute after I stopped recording.)

Meanwhile, some of us are still trying to emotionally process being awake. 😅🩵
