2,769 people answered. 73% of clients told us they would go without mental health care.

That is what the proposed BCBSM incident-to change looks like from the chair on the other side of the room. The people in this photo are Michigan counselors who took a working day to say so out loud.

For those from outside the Metro Detroit area who may not want to drive, MMHCA is chartering a bus from Lansing to the BCBSM Rally on 8/21. MMHCA is partially subsidizing the cost of the bus to make it more affordable for people.

To All Michigan Behavioral Health Professionals,

We want to give you an update on the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) incident-to billing policy. You should have all received an email about this, but we are also posting it here.

Last month the Michigan Mental Health Counselors Association (MMHCA), the National Association of Social Workers – Michigan Chapter (NASW-MI), the Michigan Psychological Association (MPA), and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) gathered information from you about the impact of BCBSM’s announced changes.

To date, almost 3,000 people have taken the time to respond to one of our three surveys. We have compiled the information and are sharing the results with you.
