Help bring a little Halloween joy to our tiniest patients!👣

We're seeking new NICU-sized costumes, especially:
- Swaddle sacks
- Overlay/open-back costumes
- Soft hats or simple headpieces

Suggested Sizes:
- Micro Preemie: 8-10" costume length | 9-10" head circumference
- Preemie: 10-12" costume length | 10-12" head circumference
- Late Preemie: 12-13" costume length | 12-13" head circumference
- Full-Term Newborn: 13-15" costume length | 13-14" head circumference

Please use soft fabrics and avoid loose buttons, beads, glitter, or other detachable items.

As we wrap up NICU Awareness Month, we're reflecting on the resilience and connections that make our NICU community so special. 💚

Thank you to the incredible families who joined us for this year's NICU Reunion, and to all those who support NICU families and help raise awareness from near and far throughout the year. This celebration also wouldn't have been possible without the dedicated staff and volunteers who brought it to life. From face painting and balloon animals to live music, tractor rides and more, it was a beautiful day filled with laughter, memories, and meaningful moments. We're grateful to celebrate this remarkable community with you.

Ariel and her sister celebrated their 4th birthday in the sweetest way possible: by giving back. 🐾 Their reverse birthday party brought a mountain of gifts for patients and families at Mayo Clinic Children's. There were snacks, a birthday song, and kids got to bring home their own dog stuffie with a newly decorated collar. Happy birthday, Ariel, and thank you for sharing your special day with us!

1 in 10 babies in the United States receive care in a NICU.

Dr. Stephanie Polites is chair of the Division of Pediatric Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Wendy Allen-Rhoades is a pediatric oncologist with expertise in sarcomas and adolescent and young adult (AYA) oncology.

We always love a visit from the peregrine falcons and biologist Jackie! 🦅 During these special Q&A sessions, kids and families can get an up-close look at these incredible birds while having the chance to ask questions about the falcons, Jackie's work, and Mayo Clinic's peregrine falcon program. It's such a unique and exciting opportunity, and we're proud to have a program like this right here at Mayo Clinic.
