🤠 From the Rodeo to Mayo Clinic Children’s!

We loved welcoming Michael to Mayo Clinic Children’s last week! A rodeo entertainer who travels throughout the Midwest, Michael spent the afternoon sharing photos, autographs, stickers, coloring pages, and smiles with our patients and families.

Michael hopes to become a child life specialist someday, and after seeing the joy, enthusiasm, and connection he brought to each interaction, it was easy to see why. Thanks for stopping by and making our day a little brighter, Michael!

It isn’t easy being an active teen in the hospital, but one member of our staff has become “the highlight of every day so far.”

When Brody first met Alicia, he had just received tough news. Alicia knew exactly what to do, and the pair instantly snuggled up. Brody says, “I was upset and I probably would have stayed upset for a while. She came in, and I forgot about it for the rest of the day.”

In the midst of hospital days, Alicia brings calm, comfort, and the kind of support that helps kids cope and keep going. 💛

And one thing Brody’s family wants other patients to know? “Just ask!” There are so many therapy options, events, and support services available that you might not even know about—so don’t be afraid to bring it up with your care team. Alicia is here, ready to help, and from day one, she’s a best friend.
