This photo of alumnus was taken at his graduation 10 years ago, with our now program director, Dr. Ronald Bossert. Dr. Basile returns to Rochester this week as our esteemed visiting professor, presenting on his inspiring and unique career as a military plastic surgeon and commanding officer with the , his role in the first ever bilateral arm transplant performed as a member of the team, and his later transition to private practice and current role as the official plastic surgeon of the Jacksonville ‼️ We are grateful to Dr. Basile for his service, and for taking the time to come up and share with us some of his most interesting and challenging cases, as well as many valuable lessons on starting a practice and life after residency
