FREE Youth Mental Health First Aid Training

Want to better support the mental well-being of Black, Brown and Indigenous youth in our community? Join the new Delphi Rise Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) team for a free training open to community members in Monroe, Ontario & Wayne Counties.

Upcoming dates (all 9am–1pm):
• Saturday, Oct. 24 – Ontario County
• Tuesday, Oct. 27 – Monroe County
• Saturday, Nov. 7 – Ontario & Wayne Counties
• Tuesday, Nov. 17 – Ontario & Wayne Counties

Wednesday marked a meaningful milestone with the ribbon-cutting of The Anchor Pointe at the Alex Eligh Community Center!

Created in partnership with the Office of Mental Health, The Anchor Pointe offers a safe and welcoming space designed by and for youth. Throughout the event, speakers emphasized the importance of ensuring young people have trusted adults, supportive peers, and a place where they feel seen, heard, and empowered.

We're excited to see the impact this resource will have on the Newark and surrounding communities for years to come. This program is available to all youth and young adults ages 12-24 at no cost to participate in additional wellness and enrichment opportunities to further their development and create meaningful connections.

Open Access is returning to 72 Hinchey Road!
Please keep these dates and temporary hours in mind:
📍 His Branches, 265 Warwick Avenue: Open Access will close at 4:00 PM Sunday, October 4.
📍 72 Hinchey Road: Open Access will reopen at 8:00 AM Tuesday, October 6.
🕗 Temporary hours: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Open Access will be closed between these times while we complete the move.

With approval from OASAS, an accessible restroom trailer with running water will allow us to return while permanent plumbing repairs continue. For safety reasons, overnight services will remain paused. We will share an update when 24/7 operations can resume.

Only Open Access is returning at this time. Outpatient services will remain at the Mental Health Association, 274 N Goodman Street, Suite D103. All other programs will continue at their temporary locations.

✨We are still feeling the joy, gratitude, and incredible energy from A Night to Rise: Delphi Rise’s 90th Year Celebration!

Together, we celebrated 90 years of hope, healing, recovery, and community. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of everyone who joined us, we are thrilled to share that A Night to Rise raised $69,000 to support the work of Delphi Rise!

To every guest who attended, donated, raised a paddle, bid in our silent auction, and celebrated alongside us: **thank you.** Your generosity will directly support the programs and services that help people throughout our community rise.

We are deeply grateful to our sponsors whose support made this evening possible; to Norma Holland for bringing so much heart, joy, and energy as our host; and to everyone who shared their voice and helped tell the story of Delphi Rise throughout the evening.

We were also honored to be joined and recognized by our local and state public officials and their representatives. Thank you for celebrating this milestone with us and for the proclamations honoring Delphi Rise’s 90 years of service to our community.

And, of course, thank you to our staff, board, volunteers, partners, donors, and friends who have been part of this work.
