PTSD Awareness Month: Week 3

Listening is an act of courage and one of the most powerful forms of peer support. When someone is dealing with trauma, they often feel isolated or unheard; by simply holding space, you communicate that they are not alone.

Listening is less about being a counselor and more about being a safe, reliable presence. You don't need special training to make someone feel heard; you just need to be intentional about how you show up.

Mental Health treatment shouldn’t come with a price tag—or a waitlist. No one in our community should be stuck in an emergency room for weeks only to face a $20,000 bill upon discharge. How can we best serve those who are experiencing mental health a crisis with no end in

PTSD Awareness Month: Week 2

Understanding PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) is essential for creating a supportive environment. Because trauma affects everyone differently, symptoms can manifest in a variety of ways. Educating yourself and others helps replace judgment with empathy.

If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available through professional resources and community connection. You can contact the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988 for 24/7 confidential support, or connect with your local mental health center to explore clinical and peer-based resources in our area, such as Infinity!
