PTSD Awareness Month: Week 3
Listening is an act of courage and one of the most powerful forms of peer support. When someone is dealing with trauma, they often feel isolated or unheard; by simply holding space, you communicate that they are not alone.
Listening is less about being a counselor and more about being a safe, reliable presence. You don't need special training to make someone feel heard; you just need to be intentional about how you show up.
