Today I learned what a “shrimp story” is. 😂🍤
Emma tells me, “Mom, my coworker is always telling shrimp stories.”

Naturally, I have questions.

Me: “What the heck is a shrimp story? Is this about fishing? Seafood? Someone’s pet shrimp?” 🤔Dramatic tale from Red Lobster

She just starts laughing, pulls up this Shark Tale clip, and suddenly it all makes sense.

Apparently a shrimp story is when someone starts telling a simple story and somehow takes 47 detours, introduces 12 side characters, circles back twice, adds unnecessary details, forgets the original point, and 20 minutes later you’re still wondering where the story was headed. 😂
Honestly… after watching this clip, I realized I’ve definitely told a few shrimp stories myself. 🦐🤣
