My childhood seems like a blur
Rewinding my life as her
For a decade passes in more resonance
When to myself there is no negligence

Memories resurface and seem unfamiliar
Like staring and not recognizing the other in the mirror
New breath given to an outdated husk
Watching the sun set on a brand new dusk

Replanting prematurely grows shallow roots
Those that feel uncomfortable in tuxes and suits
The meaning sought but not deeply felt
Just pain and shame leaving sore welts

A place now open where I can grow deep
Where I shear back my past like a sheep
Sorting and skirting to wash and prepare
The life I now want and deserve being spun with care

To flourish and blossom when plied with stress
The result is trans joy when wearing a dress
To stitch and to weave the journey ahead
It’s better to be spun forward than to be cotted and shed.

Title: s*x is resistance

The place of women has been definitive
Only now the battle focuses on the primitive
Patriarchy’s downfall leaves men sensitive
For now the white picket fence is derivative

Penetrative only in patriarchal nature
Intimately close bringing erotic pleasure
Intentions are left dripping in fleeting texture
When intertwined we lay together

Consummation only a capitalistic horror
For love is all with my nonbinary adorer
No exchange of giving minimal quarter
Free from the shames of a religious whorer

Dreaming closely in passions fiery
Our union destroys the bastards binary
Not just survival in a grueling economy
But choreographed performance of our entrusted autonomy

Existing boldly when we must persist
Surely our names are upon a watchlist
When our bedroom art is meant to resist
My moans of which my dissent does consist

Fu***ng is not a trivial matter
It’s artistic as f**k in this fascist stature
So before I am down like a rotting cadaver

Of course I question it all
Any imagining big or small
Scribblings and drawings pinned to a cave wall
From observing and learning I heed the call

A call of abandon
Of hope in this canon
A role for which I’m a stand in
On the verge of a climactic canyon

The scene rolls on tape
Only the actions I wield take shape
Doubled to allow an escape
Covered in yellow bruises and scrapes

Yellowing deepened with each filter
For who’s watching gaze is familiar
Inner resentment glowing bitter
Am I just a blip on a random transmitter?

Red tape, a canyon, a video camera
Thinkless speaking in a echoing plethora
For what life we wave a banner of
In reality is not all that glamorous
