Most people think of ADHD as being easily distracted or forgetful, but they don’t always see what those moments actually cost. The ADHD tax is the collection of small, everyday penalties that quietly add up over time: replacing things that were misplaced, paying late fees, throwing away expired groceries, forgetting passwords, buying duplicates, missing appointments, or paying extra just to fix a problem at the last minute. None of these moments seem like much on their own, but together they can cost time, money, energy, and confidence. Understanding this is about recognizing that executive dysfunction has real, measurable consequences and that support should focus on reducing those hidden costs, not just judging the symptoms. 💙 Can you relate to any of these?
