Sometimes I think people don’t realize how personal working in a general dental office can become.
You start out knowing someone as a name on the schedule…
and eventually you know their family, their stories, their kids, and what’s going on in their life.
You celebrate the good things with them.
You hear about the hard things.
You notice when their kids have suddenly grown six inches since their last appointment.
You remember the little things they told you months or even years ago.
And after almost 20+ years in dentistry, I’ve realized that’s one of my favorite parts of the job.
We may only see our patients a few times a year, but when you’ve cared for the same people for years, they become more than just patients.
We get to care for the whole family, through so many different seasons of life

We decided to get Dr. Murphy with a little April Fool's fun! Kim provided us with the different outfits (not the dress!) and items (his favorite things), and we all wore them into the office this morning to see how long it took him to notice. We got him good!

First of all, we would like to thank all of our patients for being patient while we were in the process of filling the hygienist position. We appreciate everyone being so understanding and want to give a huge thank you to Nicole Bruce for helping us out. You are a great asset to our team! With that being said, we want to welcome our new hygienist, Tess Hilbrands. She is married to Jake Hilbrands, and they live on an acreage south of George. She has been a dental hygienist for 3.5 years, and she truly enjoys building relationships with her patients while helping them feel comfortable and confident in their smiles. Outside of the office, she enjoys staying active and all things sports—from playing golf and pickleball to watching football, basketball, and volleyball. In her free time, Tess and her husband enjoy farming, spending time outdoors, and playing with their black lab, Leo.⸻
