Full-Time Dental Assistant

Davidson Family Dental is a well-established, single-dentist general practice committed to providing exceptional patient care in a compassionate and welcoming environment. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Dental Assistant to join our energetic and professional team.

We are looking for a dedicated, professional, and team-oriented Dental Assistant who shares our commitment to excellence in patient care. No prior experience is required—we provide comprehensive on-the-job training!
Position Details
Schedule: Full-time (Monday – Thursday)
Monday & Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Thursday: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
No Fridays or weekends

Assisted hygiene duties – assisting hygienists with X-rays, suctioning, polishing, and dental exams
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
CPR certification (preferred, but not required at the time of hire)
X-ray certification (preferred, but not required at the time of hire)
No prior experience required – on-the-job training will be provided
Strong teamwork skills and a patient-focused, professional attitude
Key Responsibilities
Arrive on time each day with a positive and professional demeanor
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring proper sterilization of instruments and materials
Assist the dentist and hygienists during procedures by suctioning, passing instruments, and preparing materials
Greet, seat, and prepare patients for treatment, ensuring their comfort and reassurance
Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and post-procedure care
Take and develop dental X-rays (if certified) and assist with impressions and study models
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA and privacy regulations
Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment
Monitor and maintain dental supply inventory, placing orders as needed
Assist with dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency protocols
Support the dental team with administrative tasks, including medical coding for insurance and billing purposes
Contribute to the success of the team by collaborating and assisting as needed
