Rena Cannegieter, 92 of Rock Valley passed away peacefully at Hegg Health Center on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. She was a resident of Whispering Heights.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at the Calvin Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley, with Pastor Doug De Groot officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery at Rock Valley. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.

Inwood, IA: Kermit Leroy De Vries of Inwood, Iowa, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Whispering Heights in Rock Valley, Iowa, at the age of 84. A funeral service will be held Friday, August 28, at 10:30 AM at Inwood Christian Reformed Church with Nathan Nieuwendorp officiating. The service will be livestreamed at https://www.youtube.com//streams. A luncheon will be held at the church following the service and burial will be held at 1:45 PM at East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will be held Thursday, August 27, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Inwood CRC.

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful day out in the community watching the Rally in the Valley parade! There were plenty of smiles, waves, familiar faces, and of course, a little candy collecting along the way! 🍬😊

We are so grateful for opportunities to get our residents out, enjoy the community, and make special memories together. ❤️
