September 11 holds a deeply personal place in the hearts of so many within our Rockaway community. Many of our neighbors, friends, clients, and families experienced unimaginable loss that day, and our community is home to countless brave firefighters and first responders who courageously answered the call.
Today, we remember every innocent life taken too soon, the heroes who ran toward danger without hesitation, and all those who worked tirelessly in the days, weeks, and months that followed. We honor the strength of the survivors, the resilience of our city, and the families who continue to carry the memory of their loved ones every day.
Here in Rockaway, the impact of September 11 will always be felt. We stand together in remembrance, gratitude, and love holding close those who were lost and recognizing the sacrifices made by so many.
