Our resident spotlight is shining the light on our beautiful resident Theresa. She was born in Iowa, however her family moved to Illinois shortly after her birth. As one of six siblings, she fondly remembers always having someone to play with, laugh with, and talk to.
When she was young, Theresa met James, the son of one of her mother's friends, and quickly developed a special fondness for him. As they grew older, James joined the military. Upon his return, the two reunited, fell in love, and built a beautiful life together, sharing 65 wonderful years of marriage and raising three children.
The couple made their home in Chicago, where James worked as a truck driver while Theresa managed several dress shops throughout the area. A true people person, Theresa also spent time working at a veteran’s hospital, where she enjoyed providing companionship and helping veterans with their daily needs.
In her free time, Theresa enjoys crocheting, chatting with friends, spending quality time with her loved ones, and getting outdoors whenever she can…here she is enjoying our lovely outdoor courtyard.
