🍌🍨 **SWEET TREATS & A 7-FOOT BANANA SPLIT!** 🍨🍌

What better way to celebrate **National Banana Split Day** than with a sweet adventure?! ❤️

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful trip to **White Cottage Sweets in Berne, Indiana**, where we got to satisfy our sweet tooth and enjoy some delicious treats! 🍭🍫🍬

But the fun didn’t stop there! We came home and celebrated in a BIG way by making our very own **7-FOOT BANANA SPLIT!** 😲🍌🍦 Talk about a banana split fit for a crowd! Everyone had a blast helping create—and, of course, enjoy—this giant dessert!

We also took a little trip back in time with a fun lesson about the **history of the banana split**. Residents learned that the classic banana split was created in **1904 by David Evans Strickler**, a pharmacist who worked at Tassel Pharmacy in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. His original creation featured a banana sliced lengthwise with scoops of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream, topped with delicious syrups and other classic toppings. 🍓🍫🍨

What a sweet day filled with **laughter, learning, friendship, and A LOT of bananas!** 🍌😂
