• Physical exams, like school & sports physicals
• Immunizations
• Diagnosis and treatment for new, acute illness and minor injury
• Prescription medication: antibiotics or over-the-counter pain relief for common illnesses and disorders
• Reproductive health, such as pregnancy testing and STI testing
• Basic lab work for illnesses like Strep throat, COVID-19, flu, or urinalysis

Students need a school physical if they are:
• entering preschool, kindergarten, 6th, 9th grades
• new to the school district
• participating in a school-sponsored sport

Please note: All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please bring your child's immunization records. In many cases, students must have physical exams & immunizations before the first day of school.

Crusader uses an integrated model of Behavioral Health treatment. That means mental health, therapy and substance use treatment services are provided in a primary care setting.

Crusader’s Alpine and West State clinics now each have five treatment offices and workspace dedicated to supporting behavioral health. These new spaces are specifically tailored for the behavioral health team thanks to an Accelerator Grant from the Winnebago County Community Mental Health Board. The goal was to create areas that would improve the overall patient experience and foster a better atmosphere for therapy sessions and telepsychiatry services.

Crusader’s Behavioral Health programming is funded, in part, by the voter approved half-cent tax for mental health services from the Winnebago County Community Mental Health Board.

🌱🌿Growing at Crusader in Belvidere🪴🌱🌿

Gardening is a fantastic opportunity for children to learn about nature while developing important skills, like patience and perseverance. Cristina DiVenti, LCSW at Crusader in Belvidere, has these garden beds at the clinic and encourages kids to garden, which fosters their natural curiosity in a safe environment. Gardening is an activity that can help everyone regardless of their skill level.
