Fulgurite

Type: Fulgurite is lightning-fused quartz sand.
Colours: Pale or smoky grey, also shiny black; can be fawn/brown or almost white.
Availability: Relatively rare, but obtainable from some specialist crystal stores and online.
Physical benefits: May improve ear, nose and throat problems, dizzy spells caused by inner-ear imbalance or stress, colon, alimentary tract, stomach lining.

Again, we see the birch tree as the tree of birth and beginnings. Swords are the suit of Air, which in DruidCraft is allocated to the east, place of the rising sun. Just as the Ace of Cups represents the Grail, So the Ace of Swords represents Excalibur of Arthurian myth, the magical tool of the atbame (ceremonial dagger) in Wicca, and the ritual sword in Druidry.
The hawk that flies high in the light of the dawn sky is the Druid totem animal of Air and of the east.
Meaning Clarity is dawning, bringing the gift of perceiving a situation as it truly is. The sharp focus
that this card offers may give you the opportunity to cut yourself free from attachments that no longer serve you, or from a negative situation. It may also suggest that you can now begin a phase of productive intellectual work.
The Ace of Swords can indicate that you have the opportunity to use the sword of your reason to achieve success in a particular field - particularly in legal or academic situations - and it may even signal triumph in these fields, or in the world of literature or science. The sword is an instrument of change and this Ace may indicate a clean break that heralds a new beginning

A clothing swap will take place from 11:00 am-1:00 pm on Saturday and 1:00-3:00 pm on Sunday with a suggested donation of $5 to participate. We will have a variety of items available, including masculine and feminine options. We encourage you to bring your own items to swap!

Visnaga, Khella
Visnaga, with its aromatic, bitter scent and flavor, has greater medicinal than culinary value. It is an effective muscle relaxant and has been used for many centuries to alleviate the excruciating pain of kidney stones. Scientific research has confirmed the validity of this traditional use. Visnaga contains khellin, from which particularly safe pharmaceutical drugs for the treatment of asthma have been derived.

Related Species
Bishop's w**d (A. majus, p. 166) is a close relative. This plant has been used to treat asthma but is mainly taken as a diuretic and to treat psoriasis.

Traditional & Current Uses
• Kidney stones Visnaga is a traditional Egyptian remedy for kidney stones. It was mentioned in the Ebers papyrus of Egypt
(c. 1500 BcE) and is still used there to relieve kidney stones.
By relaxing the muscles of the ureter, visnaga reduces the pain caused by the trapped stone and helps ease the stone down into the bladder.
* Asthma remedy Following research into its antispasmodic properties, visnaga is now given for asthma, and is safe even for children to take. Although it does not always relieve acute asthma attacks, it does help to prevent their recurrence.
* Other respiratory conditions
Visnaga is an effective remedy for various respiratory problems, including bronchitis, emphysema, and whooping cough.

• Circulatory herb By relaxing the coronary arteries, visnaga helps to improve blood supply to the heart muscle and thereby eases angina. Visnaga does not, however, reduce blood pressure.
