Family Movie Night!
Who doesn’t like to share time with someone they love while enjoying a quality movie together. Family movie nights are becoming very popular with residents and families gathering for popcorn & a movie.

Get Your Kicks On Route 66!
Our duplex community took a stroll down memory lane as they entered a vintage decorated chapel for a Route 66 party. Food catered to the theme highlighting glass bottles of Coca-Cola & peanuts, chicken strips, chili cheese fries, milkshake pudding, and apple pie. Live music from Joe Sakowski had a resident up dancing, many singing along and answering trivia. Residents are raving about having a wonderful afternoon.

The men of Fairhaven gathered for a Model Railroad themed party. Don “Gene” Wheeler, one of our own residents, was joined by long-time friends in a model railroad group in the Chicago Northwestern Line area. These men shared their passion and information for model railroading.

HAPPY 250th BIRTHDAY AMERICA!
Thursday afternoon was a hive of activity to celebrate Independence Day. Residents decorated sugar cookies the day before to pass out with specialty summer red, white, and blue beverages. Residents chose 4th of July temporary tattoos and had the opportunity to pose at the photo booth. A barbershop quartet enthralled a large crowd of about 175, which gathered to celebrate this monumental year. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Fairhaven would like to recognize the 2026 ice cream social sponsors. Your donations helped raise funds to support capital improvements, Good Samaritan funds to offer financial assistance to those in need, staff education, and grow our endowment. THANK YOU!

Saturday, June 13th was perfect weather for our annual ice cream social. Fairhaven offered an outdoor and indoor venue. Both areas were full with family, friends, residents, and staff enjoying fantastic music and each others company. This event always feels like a big family reunion. Thank you to everyone who came to participate. A HUGE thank you to our sponsors and those who made donations toward this fund raiser. What a wonderful time together to support the continued purpose of Fairhaven.

Fairhaven’s annual Ladies Tea is special time together. So many beautiful women enjoying each other and enjoying life. It was heart-warming to see and hear… the dresses, hats, socializing, singing along to the music entertainment, sipping tea and eating refreshments. A fantastic afternoon!

Fairhaven has AMAZING volunteers! Volunteers are valued for their selfless service which makes a daily difference throughout our community. We had the honor to recognize the 75+ volunteers and thank them for giving generously of their time and talents. These wonderful individuals were invited to a special prepared meal, gifted with a small party favor, and treated with a cupcake from Wicked Sweets by Kate. This year’s volunteer recognition was themed “You are an ESSENTIAL piece”.
