But what if winter isn’t something to “push through”…
What if it’s a season to soften, slow down, and let yourself be cared for?

I wrote a new blog post all about The Art of Wintering Well—the cozy rituals, the mindset shift, and the little things that make winter feel more gentle (even when it’s freezing outside ).

Tell me… what’s your favorite “winter comfort” ritual right now?

Every year, it happens the same way.The holidays wrap up in a blur of twinkly lights, full calendars, leftover cookies, and a weird mix of magic and exhaustion… and then suddenly it’s January. The decorations come down. The house feels a little quieter. The world outside looks like one big gray f...

A new year doesn’t have to mean a new you.

Less pressure.
More presence.
More simple habits that actually stick.

If you’ve been craving a different way to step into this season, I hope this helps.

Every year, the new year arrives with so much noise.Louder goals. Bigger promises. Harder pushes.Do more. Be better. Try harder. Fix everything—starting now.And every year, I find myself quietly resisting that energy.Because if I’m being honest, after everything life has carried us through—gri...

From hiking hills to lifting grandchildren with ease, this approach makes longevity tangible and deeply personal.

Read more and start dreaming about the life you want to live — long, strong, and full of the moments that matter.

By Mary Grace Descourouez, MS, NBC-HWC   We all know about the Olympic Decathlon (ten track and field events held across two consecutive days), but have you heard about the Centenarian Decathlon? Stanford alumni Peter Attia, MD, coined the term Centenarian Decathlon as the ten physical tasks you wa...

But first — coffee ☕

There’s a quiet magic in slowing down, especially in the middle of a busy season.

Today’s new blog post is all about rediscovering the art of lingering — carving out space for warm mugs, meaningful conversations, and the kind of presence that feeds your heart as much as your body.

Sometimes the rituals we once loved just fade into the background… until we realize how much we miss them.

If you’ve ever longed for a slower morning or a deeper connection — this one’s for you.

You know those little traditions in life that feel like gentle anchors? Ones that quietly remind you what really matters? Well today I was remindened of a little tradition called fika. If you’re not familiar with fika, let me start there. Fika is a Swedish tradition, often described as a coffee br...

Our environment has so much influence on the choices we make every day. This quote from Marie Kondo is a gentle reminder:

“The space in which we live should be for the person we are becoming now, not the person we were in the past.”

If you’re working toward more energy, vitality, and longevity, your kitchen is a powerful place to start. The foods you surround yourself with either support the person you’re becoming—or keep you tied to old habits.

That might mean clearing out the processed snacks and sugary treats that don’t serve your goals, and instead stocking your counters and fridge with vibrant fruits, crisp veggies, and nourishing whole foods. Imagine opening your pantry and seeing options that truly fuel the life you want to live.

Small shifts in your space make it easier to make better choices—without relying on willpower alone. Because when your environment is aligned with your goals, success feels less like a struggle and more like a natural flow.

What’s one swap you’ve made in your kitchen that helps you stay on track with the person you’re becoming?
