Oh the complexities of the human anatomical faceā€¦even in just the act of smiling we use 13 muscles. Guess how many to frown?

The holidays are meant to be filled with joy and rest and merriment and so often they get over shadowed with obligation and financial strain and stressā€¦.It takes 50 muscles to frown.

My daughter recently started school four days a week for a few hours in the morning. Itā€™s been a bitter sweet transition navigating the diverse feelings of joy I am finding in the extra time I have to read and write and revisit movement practices that havenā€™t had much attention the past two years, and then the guilt for enjoying that time and space and also the sadness at not having those slow mornings together where everything unfolds in toddler time and full of wonder and mostly naked ( well at least she is).

All in all, itā€™s been a good thing for all of us, she gets to bake bread and play in the sandbox and frog pond and eat delicious healthy muffins and I, hopefully will have alittle more time to update here more regularly šŸ˜…šŸ’›

If youā€™re wondering whatā€™s happening in this momentā€¦. Let me tell you- we were trying to do a business photo shoot and someone ( not sure who...) made a Eminem reference and the teenager in me couldnā€™t resist singing the rest of the 8 mile lyrics šŸ˜… so this is me getting really into it.

It was very fun and very silly.

AND donā€™t worry, this doesnā€™t happen in regular sessions. This one was special but if you happen to not mind the fun and silly and are interested in modeling for a business photo shoot, DM me!
