With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Carrie Ann Minton, who left this world surrounded by love. While her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her spirit, laughter, and unmistakable spark will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
Carrie had a remarkable way of making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved. She could brighten any room with her sense of humor and was never afraid to speak her mind when it mattered most. For twenty-four years, Carrie devoted her life to caring for children as a childcare provider, helping shape the lives of countless families with her kindness, patience, and compassion.
Carrie also had a deep and abiding love for animals, especially dogs. Her compassion extended to every four-legged friend she met, and she treasured the joy, comfort, and unconditional love they brought into her life.
Carrie was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ruth and Walt Stuart; her biological father, Paul Posey; her brother, David Todd; and her sister, Marty Cooper.
She leaves behind her loving and devoted husband, Lanny; her three daughters, Lorry, Sherri, and Lanna (Nathan); her nine grandchildren, Devin (Janhavi), Dominic, Alyssa, Madison, Gracie, Taylor, Lily, William, and Summer; her great-grandson, Paxton; and her sister, Helen. With deep and heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Edmund (Ed) Cosca Diocson on July 10, 2026, at the age of 86. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Aurora, with whom he shared 63 years of steadfast marriage; his sons Roman (Marilou), Emmanuel (Carol), and Edmund Jr. (Maria); his grandchildren Samantha (Bruce), Nicholas, Emily, Alex (Angela), and Isabella; and his great‑grandson Levi. He is also remembered by his sisters Nenita, Teresa, and Lourdes, and by many nieces and nephews. His passing follows closely the loss of his older sisters Myrna and Cecilia, deepening the family’s grief.

Born in Capiz, Philippines, Edmund was the third of seven children of Esperanza Cosca, a devoted teacher, and Diosdado Diocson, a rice and coconut farmer, fisherman, keeper of small livestock, and respected landlord. Their lives shaped him profoundly. From his mother, he learned discipline and compassion; from his father, he inherited humility, perseverance, and a quiet reverence for the land. In later years, Edmund shared that his true passion was Agriculture — to work the land as his father once did — a dream that stayed close to him throughout his life.

He studied Mechanical Engineering in Cebu City and built a career grounded in professionalism and integrity. In 1975, he brought his young family to Vancouver, later settling in Edmonton with his sisters Myrna and Nenita, where he began the work that would define his life. During the economic hardships...
